i think they count every view, regardless of who's watching on what device.

But it seems they stop counting if somebody watch it more than a number of times on a given day, or if they watch less than 30 seconds, or if they seem to watch "illogical" things.

I don't totally agree with this though :

"So, don’t make the mistake of thinking you can just get your friends or team members to watch your videos over and over again, because the answer is, you just can’t."

Because if a dozen people watch it four times each, and the same the next day, Youtube will give it a good score as a "trending" video and show it higher to potential viewers who have typed the keywords, and there can be a snowball effect.

Clearly, this doesn't apply if you have Yuzuru Hanyu in your keywords, as anyway your video will somehow trend "alone" with people searching Yuzuru content on Youtube. To the point that some make awful, uninteresting videos with these keywords and an intentionally poor content, just as clickbait.

They have a filter to avoid bots artificially upping the views. So if you watch several times on a loop, it won't keep adding. You have to watch other videos in between before watching it again to make it seem "organic" to the algorithm. I don't know the details, but people are commenting a lot about it on music videos where the numbers are more of a big deal.

Is it only me? I noticed Yuzu's FS in Skate Canada was not geoblocked anymore. I only noticed it now.

The video from ISU channel is not geoblocked for me too now, thanks!

I somehow read this as ToshI's foot painting...and thought "It doesn't look anything like a foot" :scratch3:shorty followed by "Maybe he painted it with his feet" :smiley-whacky115: and only then did I realize it was the dimensions :slinkaway: It might be time for bed. :bed::13877886:

...or you know, you measure in metric system 😏

Ooh la la! He could raise the room temperature all on his own in that outfit! So handsome.:13877886:

Do I get it right, that we all missed a chance of spending 360.000 yen to get a Citizen watch and an autograph on a poster?

Yup. This person said there were still five watches remaining in stock, and then tweeted three hours ago that there were only two left, so it is highly likely we missed the chance!

As the idea had never occurred me, I searched yuzuru + hanyu + yukata on my engine and got unfortunately many Pinterest results, but also these :

One with Javier Fernández (on a not-so-pleasant page, onehallyu.com) :

Here, he's even a model for a yukata! I guess many would like to know what is this catalogue but I don't know.

Here many photos, also with Evgeni Plushenko, Javier Fernández, Miki Ando...

And here with Shoma Uno (with details about the yukata he's wearing) :

Your wallet tells you thank you.

Your wallet's nutritionist may feel relieved if it was about to starve, or annoyed if it tended to be to fat by lack of travel to see Yuzuru Hanyu in person.

There is a show called Dreams on Ice held around this time of the year, and after its last leg, there is a party in which skaters show up in yukata. The photos of Yuzu in yukata are from this party held until 2015. (He hasn't participated in the show after that)

The one with Javi is from DOI2013. The ones quoted in fan blogs are from DOI2014. The ones quoted in aliajackson's Tumblr are from DOI2015, released in アイスショーの世界 in 2015. The one he stands against the bamboo themed wall is a fan-made collage.

A few more from 2015

My boyfriend was taking Japanese lessons and discovered that the teacher is a fanyu :cheer:. When the teacher introduced a word meaning to perform gracefully, she said "Just like Yuzuru Hanyu. Oh but you probably don't know about him."  My boyfriend immediately replied that of course he knew about Yuzu. :sin:

(To be fair, he had watched Yuzu's skating even before I became a fanyu and keep updating him with Yuzu news.)

The teacher then went on to complain how her husband and daughter were not watching skating with her.
