You're forgetting the unforgiving pace of LGC.

If that's the case it's not something he would miss with the emphasis he places on getting the music absolutely spot on, and he was paying close attention to the arena at 4CC.

GYUU - another one for the training lexicon

They always glitter more in gala/show lighting!

Illusion mesh is fine as long as it matches skin tone and isn't the main fabric - see costumes we love to hate for 'dresses' that are mostly mesh and Swarovski. I don't mind it in v necks as long as the colour is ok. This looks ok in a small pic- collar reminds me a little of Ys PotO2 which I loved

I know what you mean- I like toe jumps that are subtle- with Yuzuru you hardly notice the use of the toe pick - some skaters really whack that pick in and you feel sorry for the ice crew

Costumes we love to hate

I really hate those illusion mesh+lots of crystals/pearls/etc and a few bits of cloth 'dresses' - see Karolina, Miki, Adelina above and Wakaba last season. -

cavalry regiment And people have the nerve to say that Chopin and Seimei are a boring choice. -

And this is why the judges should be hammering bad technique - so that 10 year olds and their coaches know it's necessary to correct these things.

So incompetence and arrogance rather than negligence you think? I have wondered several times whether Kanako would have had more success if she had gone abroad after Juniors- sounds as though she might.

You've got to admit the shaggy hairdo helps to emphasise the head movements - bit like Wenjing Sui's bob.

You don't need to imagine a conspiracy or be protective of your favourite skaters to think that SU jump technique is a problem. I don't know whether he thinks it's ok or not, but someone in his coaching team must be aware of the shortfalls in his technique( either that or they are criminally negligent and don't have a qualified jumping coach). It's not just a question of points - forget about points and competitions for a moment. It's about bad practice, which might potentially injure him, and definitely gives an appalling example to others.

I think he changed his mind about YH who has shown that he can rearrange his layout on the fly - not many can.

I don't follow social media at all, and abandoned GS in April, but I'm assuming, perhaps wrongly, that some of the reactions here are fuelled by what people are reading elsewhere. I can't understand the reaction to reusing tried and trusted programmes - it's perfectly normal and a positive thing to do to my mind. Neither of them are warhorses, both are indelibly linked with him in the FS worlds eyes and after February will hopefully be in the casual Olympic fans eyes too. If judges and Olympic viewers are sitting through several well used pieces, some of them not cut terribly well, I think that a carefully put together Seimei will slay them- and the music is demonstrably carefully done and the skating will be the same, barring injury and illness. What is the point of pursuing novelty if you already have two gems of programmes which have yet to be used in the Olympics?

Don't forget that Japanese media are translating BOs comments and then people are translating back again. English speakers can just go to the original recordings and make their own minds up about what he's saying - like @Geo1 said pages ago- lost in translation.
-
Well I'm pleased that it's back for the Olympics but the chat from before the announcement about it potentially being an exhibition piece and possibly reinstating that step sequence was nice- maybe he'll do it as part of an encore at a gala sometime. That's the trouble with competition - the straitjacket of what is needed to win.

Given the way the poor boy sweats it would need to be some very heavy duty non smear stuff - with his allergies I'm not sure you'll ever get your wish!
