Can you post the link to the video? I just love the way the light bounces off the crystals in that costume when he moves. He totally steals the scene from all the other skaters on the ice in the warmup. Submitted my vote. Hope he wins! I know. It's noted in the GPF website FAQ. I think people have written to Skate Canada asking them to reconsider, but I remember seeing their reply in a twitter (?) or maybe in the "2018 Grand Prix Final (Vancouver) Tickets and Discussion" thread (?) Basically they said they thought about it, but still decided to keep the practice closed to the public. They said something about in addition to the skaters needing to practice, the organizers needed to practice too. Don't know why they couldn't just let us watch them practice.

Unfortunately GPF gala practice is closed to the public this year , so we're not going to see this scenario.... well unless the screaming is from the other skaters.

Otonal is beautiful when you see it live. The dusty blue makes me think of a gray-blue wintry sky, and the sparkles are like icicles. I think he uses swarovski crystals because that costume really sparkles. I agree that the front could be a little longer. Origin is perfection, but when you see it live, you can't see all those details when he goes zipping by, so you mainly see a black costume with some gold highlights. Yuzu looks gorgeous in that costume though.

Those Nessies are so cute! I have that one too. And then I found some bigger goats, so now I have a whole herd of them.

Yes! It was completely magical the way the entire arena fell dead silent as Yuzu took his pose to begin Otonal, and the atmosphere was electric as everyone clapped and cheered each time he landed a jump. You just don't get that from watching TV! Since I recently discovered Yuzu during the PC Olys, I feel incredibly lucky and blessed that I was able to see him compete at ACI. I love both of his programs and have been rewatching them over and over. His Otonal costume is so gorgeous, it is easily my favorite. I can't believe I was able to see Yuzu SO CLOSE UP! In one of the practices, he jumped a 3A in front of me that was so high, there's no doubt he is training nessie! I can't wait to see what his programs will look like next time. You lucky people who will be going to Helsinki are definitely in for a real treat! @rockstaryuzu: It was such a bummer that you had to leave early and miss out on seeing Origin. You should definitely go to GPF! I'll be there and would love to hang out and chat with you again!

The rose gold works well for Zhenya. The blades look nice with the bling on her boots. For Yuzu, I hope he sticks with his black blades. I love those blades on him.

I was thinking the same. If Nathan has to face off with Yuzu anyway, it's better for Nate to do it early in the season since Yuzu tends to peak around GPF time and that's when IDF is happening. If Yuzu gets assigned to SA, I would be super tempted to go because there are some really good seats available for SA, and it is the closest GP event to me. Normally, I don't have any meetings on Thursdays, but of course I got dragged into an important one tomorrow... probably right around the time they will be announcing the assignments.

The first time I saw Yuzu was during the Pyeongchang Olympics when he skated his SP. I used to watch fs a lot, but then life got busy and I drifted away from following sports. I wasn't even aware that this was an Olympic year! I think I heard about it in the news and decided to take a peek. I was not familiar with any of the skaters, so right before the competition started, I took a quick look at Team USA. I was all set to cheer for the home team. Then I saw Yuzu skate. His Chopin Ballade 1 program was spellbinding. I went from "Don't know who this guy is, but they say he's the reigning Olympic champ" to "I REALLY, REALLY want this guy to WIN!!!" And I was sooo happy when he did win! (Seimei... ) After the PC Olympics, I thought I should check out what happened in Sochi (omg PW!!!). Thanks to YouTube and various web sites, etc., I was able to see a lot of Yuzu's previous competitions, interviews, EX programs, and a ton of fluff videos (). Before I knew it, I got sucked in by the irresistible, gravitational pull of YH, and that's how I ended up here. I'm so glad that Yuzu is not r***ing yet because now I really want to see him in a live competition.
