I'll try to do that. So far, I think I only have the common ones that everyone probably has already.

That would be wonderful. This is what I'm doing this off season, hunting for the highest quality videos and downloading Yuzu's entire career. I've been focusing on the videos most in danger of deletion, so starting with the broadcast competitions and the FaOI videos. I thought fancams (except for LGC ones) might be less of a target for deletion, but I see they are not safe either.

He is such a work of art. These 2 "Yuzu as art" are my favorites too:

Welcome to the forum! Here's one of the videos where you see a very happy Yuzu petting cats:

That might be a screenshot from Japanese media videos. They always have the camera on Yuzu backstage and a couple of times, Yuzu started changing and it took the camera man a moment before he realized he should switch off the camera. Yuzu seems aware of it though cuz he always has his back to the camera. They don't edit those parts from the video when they broadcast. Lol.

Happy Birthday Planet Hanyu! Much thanks to all the mods, admins, and satellites who make this forum such a fun and happy place!

Do you mean this one? https://www.bilibili.com/video/av14865496/ It doesn't have the English subtitles though. I loved the one on YouTube with the EngSub. I discovered it when I was a pretty new fanyu, and I thought it was hilarious and soooo accurate. I hope someone has a link to the English-subbed one.

Over 200 flavors? Wow. I think I've only seen the Green Tea and Sakura flavors at my local Japanese supermarket. Yeah, not quite the same as living in Japan. Lol.
-
The best of luck always for Yuzu! Thanks so much for making these Good Luck Charms. They are so pretty! I love the Green Tea Kit Kat bars they sell at the local Japanese supermarket.

If he has new costumes, that would be proof that he's been planning this for a while.

Purple Origin is my favorite costume, and yes that Otonal leap I will definitely miss. I keep thinking that Origin is so fast-paced, and we saw how much it took out of him at GPF when he attempted the 5 quad layout. If he does want to do the 5 quads, maybe he finds it easier to include them in Seimei? Idk, but I'm very excited to be able to see Seimei and Chopin live at Worlds! Thought I would never have the chance to see those programs live.

But they'll have to fight the fanyus first for a ticket!

I also sent a donation of €50.00 EUR via PayPal to [email protected]. Thank you admins and mods for maintaining this fantastic forum where we can all support our favorite GOAT!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Wishing many happy Yuzu moments to all satellites in 2020! Wishing Yuzu maximum health and success next year. May he be happy and satisfied with all his skates and achieve all his goals and dreams one by one in the coming year and beyond!

Wishing all satellites the Happiest Holiday Season and a very Merry Christmas!!!

I suspect JNats is going to be in the middle of the night in my time zone and I will have to work the next day, so haven't really decided whether or not I will try to catch it live or just watch replays. Iirc, the subscriptions do allow you to watch later, but usually someone will upload the important stuff to YouTube also.

I don't know why there are only 2 versions on isakuraiptv.com. Also the channel lists are different too. For example, the 48 channel subscription on isakuraiptv.com lists channel 5 as TBS, but japannettv.com lists TBS on channel 4. When I was watching FaOI, I went off the channel lists on japannettv.com. Looks like Fuji TV and BS Fuji are available on the 24 channel subscription, but CS Fuji TV One and CS Fuji TV Next are only available on the 98 channel subscription. The subscription cost between the 2 are only about $2 difference though.

I bought the iSakuraPro mini for watching FaOI, but I remember one time it didn't have the channel I needed and I really should have bought the 48 channel subscription instead. You have to translate the Japanese channels listed on the iSakura website to the English channels listed on the broadcast schedule in the Tweet. My Japanese is kind of non-existent, so I depend on Google translate, but maybe someone with better Japanese skills can let us know which subscription we need.

Cross-posting from the Team Japan thread, @madraykin said you can watch Fuji TV here: https://mov3.co/en/fujitv/ For other Japanese broadcast channels, you can probably use an iSakura subscription. I've used them to watch FaOI previously. Go to https://japannettv.com/wpshop/ and select Products > iSakuraPro Depending on which station you need, you can choose different subscriptions and you can buy just 3 days or 7 days, so it's pretty cheap. Here is the broadcast schedule:

Ooh. I just found this:

The ACI gift throwing is often cited as an example of bad fanyu behavior, but this is not accurate because throwing plushies on the ice for 2018 ACI was actually permitted. Here is the link to 2018 ACI. Click on the FAQ tab. https://skatecanada.ca/2018-autumn-classic-international/#tab-77d9f8c37b2dab40425 It's true that gift throwing was not permitted in the ACI events prior to 2018 and many assumed that the restriction was true for 2018 also, but that was not the case. A satellite emailed Skate Canada and got confirmation that gift throwing was allowed. I personally asked a staff member when I arrived at the venue and she told me that I can throw a plushy on the ice, but if I wanted to leave a gift specifically for a skater, I should put it in the gift box instead. That was why so many plushies were thrown on the ice at 2018 ACI, not only for Yuzu, but Canadian fans were throwing plushies for the Canadian skaters too. They had sweeper girls, but the girls looked like beginner skaters so did not clear the ice that quickly and Yuzu pitched in to help. In contrast, the FAQ for this year's ACI clearly stated that it was prohibited for fans to throw gifts onto the ice. That's why no one did it this year. I only saw maybe about 6 Poohs tossed to Yuzu, but it's possible that those fans didn't read the FAQ. Yep, the cheering at 4CC this year was just as loud as at any comp Yuzu attended. In fact the US fans gave a standing ovation to every US skater.

Aww, all this reminds me of last year's GPF when we were making all sorts of birthday plans for him. We had the same discussion of if / when we could sing Happy Birthday to him. We were also thinking of bringing party hats and passing them to satellites and other fanyus to wear during the free skate and waving Happy Birthday banners. Here is a really cute compilation of all his birthday celebrations:
