Thank you so much for sharing the info regarding projects supporting affected people and the areas. As a Japanese, I am grateful that you've been doing this in this time of difficulty. Let me make a few suggestions on these options: If you consider donating via Japan NPO Center, these links may also be useful: Tohoku Disaster Relief https://www.jnpoc.ne.jp/en/what-we-do/tohoku-disaster-relief/ 東日本大震災への対応 (Japanese version of Tohoku Disaster Relief) https://www.jnpoc.ne.jp/?cat=48 The first one has info regarding the projects related to Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami and a direct link to the PayPal page. The second one has links to more information and reports. I have been making small donations via this organization since 2012 to a program supporting high school students affected by the disaster. I think this organization is trustworthy. They are sharing a detailed report every year. You can also read and hear the support recipients' comments and get an idea of who you are supporting and how. However, their website is not friendly to non-Japanese speakers, and as it is ramified and multi-layered, it may be hard for translators to translate it until March 11 or 13. I think this option is for Japanese speakers because this is an actual monetary donation, and it is essential that you are being able to know everything about the organization and the project before donating. If you are interested in supporting children, there is also The MICHINOKU Future Fund. Its focus is on those who lost their parent/parents in the disaster. Here is their English site http://michinoku-mirai.org/en/index.html Anyway, thank you always for caring As it is indeed a difficult time, everyone, please take care of yourselves as well and stay safe!

Plushenko had been naming Yuzu as his rival since long before Sochi, and he is not the kind of person who would say such a thing only to please someone. Unfortunately, most of the sources I read were in Japanese, and many of them have already been deleted, but here is one of his comments quoted by an editor of Figure Skating Life magazine in 2012. You can read a copy of the whole article here. Rough Translation: In this Japanese translation of an interview in Russian given in 2011, he said Yuzu was growing as a fierce rival for him and fellow Russian skaters. In this Italian translation of the press conference after TEB2013, you can find a reporter mentioning that Plushenko said Yuzu was his biggest rival, and in this interview released in 2013, you can hear Plushenko praising Yuzu as "No. 1" in English. If he were a person who would stop competing in fear of losing or disgracing himself, he could not have kept competing after Turin 2006.

It must have been strange and stressful for skaters, but I definitely agree with SC prioritizing safety. Hope we will have a chance to watch all the videos skaters have submitted early next year.

(It is already 8th in Japan, but) Happy Birthday, Yuzu! May his 27th year be fruitful and be full of happiness. May he and his family stay healthy, and may his dreams come true. Unfortunately, I could not join the party last night, but the #happybirthdayyuzu page looks awesome! And it was nice to be able to read all the birthday wishes here and on Twitter. Wishing all the loving wishes come true. A few more Birthday wishes from Sendai This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].

Someone may have already translated, but this is a translation of Kokaito san's comment on receiving the award from TPPA shared by Sponichi: "The Four Continents Figure Skating Championships held in Seoul, Korea early February was the only occasion I went abroad to cover a story this year. At that time, I could not imagine the disaster the whole world faced afterward. Although the threat of the coronavirus was near, the Four Continents Championships was held as planned, and Hanyu senshu set the audience alight with his wonderful performance, as always. As always, the absolute champion pointed at the sky on top of the podium. With this victory, Hanyu senshu won all the major titles in both junior and senior levels and achieved "Super Slam." At the end of the competition, he threw himself down on the ice with a big smile on his face. I released the shutter feeling that the smile matched his great achievement. Looking back at it, the moment was so special. Every time I look at this smile, I truly hope that sports will be played in safety again in every corner of the world." Source [NEWS]

Along with Kokaito san of Sponichi, Wakasugi san of Yomiuri Shimbun was awarded by the Tokyo Press Photographers Association with a photo of Yuzu at 4CC this year. Rough translation of Wakasugi san's comment: "Announcement: For a photo I took at the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships, I received an Encouragement Award from the Tokyo Press Photographers Association in the category of international sports news photography. I would like to thank Hanyu senshu, Kagiyama senshu, and everyone. I am looking forward to witnessing such a wonderful moment again." I am not going to defend the fed here, but it is not about a choice between an athlete who has been successful for a long time and a hopeful newcomer. NHK Trophy this year was a good example if you take a look at all the disciplines. It is more about sectionalism, favoritism, or cronyism. And no matter what someone like Ito says through the media, people see what they see and support who they want to support.

According to Noto san, this photo book is meant to be "a photo exhibition you can see at home" during this time when it is difficult to hold an actual exhibition. All the pages are A3 in size, so you can enlarge a photo to A2 maximum by using a spread. Noto san is excited that it would enable them to present the photos impressively. According to this tweet, the book is likely to consist of photos taken during shows only (no behind-the-scenes photos) He says they are still selecting photos. Also, he says the sales department of the publisher is now trying to figure out what option they can offer to fans outside of Japan who are hoping to pre-order the book. [NEWS]

According to the article linked in the original tweet, "72,000,000 yen" is the total amount of donation people made to a fund established to support people engaging in medical or welfare services during the spread of COVID-19, and about 27,800,000 yen of it is from the proceeds of the merchandise of Yuzuru Hanyu Online Exhibition.
