Update on "Regrowth": For some reason, Yuzu is not credited as an author anymore. The publisher called it an "公式 (official)" photo book at some point, but the "公式" has been removed from the product details as well. "アフロ" (Aflo) displayed next to "-著" is the name of the photo agency that provide the photos, and they have been JFS's official photo agency since last November. So naturally, the publisher cannot use Aflo's photographs without the consent of JSF, at least, but anyway, at the moment, it is not clear if Yuzu has been involved in this book in any way. -
Wow! Next weekend is going to be full of Yuzu events

I came here to post something else, but here is a gist of how things happened from Brian's point of view based on チーム・ブライアン 新たな旅(Team Brian/New Journey) released in 2018 and an interview aired shortly after CoC: After the collision, Brian wanted to run to Yuzu and see if he was OK, but he couldn't because there is a rule that bars any coach or staff from getting on the ice during 6-minutes warmups. The organizer didn't interrupt the warmup or send medical staff immediately, so Brian yelled, "He needs medical staff!" "Call the medical staff! Get him a doctor!" again and again. After several minutes, the Chinese medical staff finally got on the ice, but to Brian's surprise, they tried to get Yuzu up as soon as they got there. Brian was upset because it is dangerous to move someone when they fell on the ice and hit their head. What they should have done was to ask Yuzu if he was OK first, then see if he could get up by himself and check if he was really OK. So Brian asked the U.S. team for help, and their team doctor came and checked Yuzu's condition. She examined him mainly by an interview and diagnosed that Yuzu was not going through a concussion and that among all the injuries, the left thigh injury was the most severe. However, the doctor didn't make any suggestion as to whether Yuzu should compete or withdraw, because such a decision should be left up to the skater and their coaching team. Withdrawal meant no GPF, but Brian thought Yuzu's physical and mental condition was more important. Brian told Yuzu not to strain himself, that there was no need to worry over withdrawal because it was not a big deal, that there was no need to be a hero there. However, Yuzu was determined to compete no matter what. Yuzu's mother was also upset and worried about him, so Yuzu went to talk to her after receiving first-aid treatment. (I am not sure if there is footage on YouTube, TV Asahi camera also captured Brian trying to persuade Yuzu to reconsider, to prioritize his health, saying, "Only you know (your real condition.) You don't have to be a hero. Your health comes first" during resumed warmup) By skating through the FS with numerous falls, Yuzu finished 2nd and qualified to GPF. However, Brian could not be relieved until Yuzu went back to Japan to get a thorough check-up and told him that there was no brain damage and that the other injuries would not affect his career as a skater. Later, ISU discussed how they should respond to such accidents, and Brian suggested that ISU should not leave the decision to continue or withdraw up to the skater or the coaching team. In Yuzu's case, the decision had not been made when he got back on the ice to resume warmup. Before resuming the warmup, Brian told them that Yuzu was not necessarily going to compete even though he took part in the warmup and that Yuzu and his team would make the decision after seeing if it would really be OK. However, once Yuzu came back on the ice, the audience cheered for him loudly and passionately. Brian thought Yuzu would not be able to say, "Actually, I withdraw because my body hurts" after receiving such support. That is why Brian suggested that the ISU should not leave the decision up to the skater and their team. He thought it was difficult for skater and their team to make such a decision after such an accident. Yuzu's take on this accident and what he went through afterward can be read in Aoi Honoo II. His description regarding the decision here doesn't contradict Brian's so much. According to Yuzu, the doctor also said that he could skate because he didn't have a concussion, but she would not recommend it. Aoi Honoo II has an English translation by a fan. https://tsukihoshi14.tumblr.com/post/171947689783/aoi-hono-ii-english-translations Because of the pandemic, it may be hard to order a book from Japan now, but I hope you read his autobiographies when you have a chance if you haven't read them already, not because you can consult it when you do some fact-check, but because it truly is a good read. Here is REGROWTH's page on Amazon. It says 羽生結弦 (著) which means Yuzuru Hanyu is the author. So Yuzu will receive a royalty for this book. ETA (July 5/2021) : Please read the following post: -
How about checking your browsing history on your browser? This place also has a Yuzu wiki too, but it covers mainly his senior career, so it is probably not what you are looking for... https://planethanyu.com/wiki/ ETA: This is the one I wanted to post

If you mean the "TV" section on the planet, it is offline when we are not having a streaming party, but you can watch the videos posted in the "Videos" section anytime. If you click on "Videos" on the planet banner, you will move to this page, and if you find any video you want to watch, just click on it, and you will be able to watch it.

Sorry for being lazy that I am going to recycle my own old post: Among the photobooks released this year, "Be the Light" is in the same category as YUZURU and YUZURU II. "YUZU'LL BE BACK III" is the one that got permission from Yuzu. "SEASON PHOTOBOOK 2020-2021" most likely got the permission as it did in the past seasons. "The Real" has his autograph on its last page, so I guess this one also got it. -
I thought GPS this year might be like last year's, and skaters would take part in the nearest GP, but I was wrong... I don't know what to think about the coming season now, but I guess Yuzu won't skip earlier competitions this season if he is healthy and his ultimate goal is ready by then. I hope the situation will be better enough for him to travel and compete safely by then. Although I am in Japan, it will probably be very very difficult for me to watch any competition in person this winter. I hope I will at least be able to watch Yuzu's performance live. As to competitions in Japan, there have been no announcements regarding tickets for NHK or Jnats this year yet. For newer fans, forum archives might be helpful. You can find past ticket discussions in the "community talk" section of each season. https://planethanyu.com/forum/36-forum-archives/

Update from Ayumi as well: "I am soooo excited to start training after quarantine. I can't wait to meet my coaches and teammates!" You can find a longer comment on her IG post. According to her Japanese comment, they will be able to resume training after 14 days of quarantine. Until then, she and Shingo will be doing what they can via zoom to be able to start training in a good condition. Among the 4 photos in her IG post, apparently, the first one is showing how AyuShin are doing now, and the others are saying hi and thanks to the skaters they have been sharing the ice with during the past few months. Here is part 1 of an interview they gave before leaving Japan. (Sorry but I cannot provide a translation now) You can see how they were training in Japan around 3:30 and 5:15 mark.

Thank you! I'm relieved! (Well, I would take it because life usually has many ups and downs but having Eteri drama moments between Yuzu roller-coasters is a bit too real!)
-
While I was wondering if our skaters would be able to enter Canada anytime soon, Shingo arrived there. IN IGS he says he has to quarantine for 3days for a starter. As for Yuzu, I have no idea what is best for him, but I would be happy if he has multiple options and can go to Canada when he needs to train with his coaches or to receive good care from whoever has been treating his injuries in recent years.
-
Top-level athletes can come back to Japan and train while quarantining, although the training would be far from ideal. Isn't it more difficult to travel back to Canada from anywhere? I think they are still stricter than Japan regarding border control related to COVID-19. As far as I know, many of the Japanese skaters who used to be training in Canada are training elsewhere. KoKo's in the U.S., Satoko, Miura/Kihara are probably still in Japan. Rika Hongo retired partly because she would not be able to go back to Canada soon. But I fully respect how Canada is managing the situation. The safety of their citizen should be their priority. Anyway, I hope vaccines will make this global situation a little better and help Yuzu and other skaters to continue what they like in a better condition and environment.
-
I found it understandable because the situation doesn't look so good for young skaters to travel overseas. Even if they travel after vaccination, it takes a few weeks to get antibodies after being vaccinated. (I don't think speeding up the process is an option seeing the progress of vaccinations here, even though it looks a bit better than before) Also, there are many conflicting opinions about vaccinating teenagers, so some of the skaters or their parents may want to wait a little more for new evidence or methods regarding vaccines. OT but Skate Canada decided to cancel their JGP scheduled in August. I guess making plans for the season continues to be difficult, especially for juniors. https://www.isu.org/isu-news/news/126-junior-grand-prix-news/13580-second-isu-junior-grand-prix-of-figure-skating-event-moves-from-edmonton-can-to-courchevel-fra?templateParam=15 ETA: LoL I love my status after 4A ETA2: (Looking at Paskud's status above) So I will have to go through Eteri period after 4A and celebrating GOAT period... to learn what life is like... or is it a custom-made status?

Never thought that I would see another white wall Yuzu so soon The official site of the game https://pegasus-dream.com/en/ Looks like the producer directed some of the Final Fantasy series and has been working on this since 2019. Interestingly, now, he is working with ANA as well to develop a virtual travel app for them. I wonder if Yuzu would appear in this app too, if ANA would continue supporting him until its release. https://www.itmedia.co.jp/news/articles/2105/21/news048.html https://jp.reuters.com/article/ana-app-new-business-idJPKCN2D10LX ETA: The Japanese site of the game has a message from Yuzu as following: A rough translation: ”The Japanese site of the game has a message from Yuzu as following: This time, I became an ambassador of The Pegasus Dream Tour. I personally enjoy playing games a lot, so I am excited to be able to experience the energy of Para-sports in a game. By the way, I am also appearing in the game. See you in Pegasus City!” [NEWS]

Yes, this is Continues ~with Wings~ 愛蔵版ブック. It is more like a deluxe edition (or a collectible edition) of the CwW brochure (or guidebook.) It doesn't have ISBN because it wasn't meant to be sold at bookstores. It doesn't have page counts, but the translated part is on page no. 18, if you count from the page next to the title page. (By title page, I mean the page called 扉 and 本扉 in this figure. Sorry, I don't know how I can explain this in English ) Although no one is credited as the publisher, since CwW was organized by Continues ~with Wngs~ Executive Committee, I guess they are the de facto publisher of this book.

It's an excerpt from Imishin, first aired in October 26, 2019. The interview is from 2019-2020 season.

I didn't know Yuzu and the Mysterious White Wall season II has begun... Nice message, indeed.
