I was wondering about the same. I grew up in a family with full of classical musicians and I also played the piano for many years and I couldn't stand most of pop music either (And I still can't stand it especially if it's too loud, I think I'm really sensitive... ) I understand why Yuzu prefers upbeat and energetic music during competitions but other than that, I don't know. His taste in music may have changed a bit over the years because he said that a long time ago. And as for the blades, I think in Javi's or Lilbet's case it's because of TCC, but in Yuzuru's case, there may be other reasons, too, I remember a commentator mentioned years ago that Yuzu's blades are very silent and that's in general common for Japanese skaters.

It seems that Javi might go to competitions like Tallin Trophy/Golden Spin, or if he wants to compete earlier in the season then he could choose Nepela/Finlandia Trophy or Nebelhorn too.

Exactly one year ago (14.05 Finnish time) Yuzu stepped on the ice and skated Hope and Legacy at the World Championships and after about forty minutes, he won his second Worlds title! Happy anniversary!! I'm going to watch the whole last group again, to relieve that extremely exciting, nail biting event

I wasn't sure either because with a new SB (the score he got at Lombardia) he could have gone into 1st place. Then he fell on the 4Lo and the realistic side of my brain knew that he wasn't going to win, but my panicky and exhausted side of my mind couldn't stop being worried because his FS seemed like ten minutes long and with 2-3 jumping passes more (just because he put all three combos in the second half and he landed them all except for the 4T combo with minus GOE) Then I saw his score and that Yuzuru won the gold medal and I started to cry for minutes. It was very emotional....I felt a huge relief. The Olympic experience was more relaxing actually, the atmosphere of the competition felt calm compared to the Helsinki madness.

Any news about Dabin? I was so sad to see she WD at Worlds but I hope she gets better soon. Korea has only one spot for next year, the fight will be huge.

I also wonder about things like this. For example I was really surprised to read that before his free skate, Nathan followed the results on Twitter I guess some skaters aren't bothered by the media presence that much but others need to isolate themselves. But I think all of them are affected by it in some ways, even if they think they think they aren't.

I will go there and try to get some Edea cards, yesterday there were none. Re the credit card holders (bookmarks? That's what she told me) and lollipops-the lady set up a booth there and she is selling all kinds of hand made things related to figure skating, like necklaces, earrings, rings, gloves etc. She is also selling Javier Elvis cards/bookmarks.

I also have Figure Skate Magazine which I think is very good - about 80% of the magazine is about Yuzuru, the rest is Shoma, some pictures of Javi, Boyang, Patrick, Chen, Zhou, ID/pairs + a few pictures of the arena+Gangneung. The quality of Yuzuru's pictures are very good, there are pictures of his arrival to Korea, practices, SP, SP draw, FS, medal ceremony, with his gold medal. No pictures from the gala, though. The posters are great, too, but I don't understand either why they put the hydroblade poster vertically, and the other picture of his face horizontally. I have Sports Graphic Numer 947. The cover is beautiful, the golden letters with the purple background look so nice. The quality of pictures are very good in this magazine, too. Figure skating is about 30% of the magazine, about 14 pages of Yuzu + there is a very nice illustration of Yuzu by Hisashi Eguchi. Figure Skaters magazine is fantastic and I'd recommend it highly! The magazine is huge (almost double the size of other magazines) and there almost the whole magazine is about Yuzuru. There are pictures about Sochi, too which I really like (a full size picture of PW, RJ2 and Yuzu with his gold medal). Some other pictures from the Olympics: I also have this magazine, 80-85% of it is about Yuzuru, pictures from practices, SP, FS, medal and venue ceremonies + two pages from Sochi. The magazine also has some pictures of Shoma, Keiji, Javi, Patrick, Nathan and Boyang.

And the SP at the Olympics was on my name day...I feel so spoiled. I'll enjoy the day of the parade with a nice piece of chocolate cake and maybe a glass of champagne
