Tendonitis. Joy right? I wonder if she's borrowing from Yuzuru's pain killers stash because no way is she skating without those.

She says she couldn't practice fully last week and well no wonder. It takes at least 2 weeks of rest to get rid of that ... so ... raiding Zu's stash it is :13877886:

Just wanted you to know that I loved your comments. I would elaborate but I don't want to upset anyone either.

Do you have a source for those? ): poor zhenya...what awful timing...

Wait  what is this tendonitis talk?? Have I missed something? Who said she is injured again?

Does anyone have any links to any of the ladies SP?

Skating with an injury might not be as bad as we think because it keeps them from thinking too much about the actual situation that they are in (ie Olympic stress etc)... so I think she'll be fine because she's a mentally tough competitor. She skates last so I think she has an excellent shot at gold. I think she'll love the position, personally.. The stage is all hers.

Satoko has an excellent start position, imho. She is first after warm up and there isn't anyone to skate directly ahead of her who skates big and does powerful jumps so she won't look tiny... like she would if she skates after Kaetlyn or even Kaori...

Does this work for you?

I"m finally watching the women's sp that was on too late me last night...

Kaori: awesome!! She has such flow. Love her. Wish she'd keep her spinning knee straight in her layback spin... Kurt compares her jumping to Midori? high praise.

Gabby: shame about the second 3T... she could have been in the final flight, I think

Evgenia: like Kurt said, it was a very slightly cautious skate, something was missing...

Satoko: Kurt says she jumps basically forward on the 3Loop... for me, not surprised she didn't get UR call... it's the same panel as SA and they loved her there... she could really medal here because of this panel, i think... shows the difference between panels ... she can range 10 points just by what they call/dont'call

Kaetlyn: jumps were huge today... this is Johnny Weir's favourite sp of the last couple of years.. he especially loves her step sequence.. deserved her high marks tonight...

Alina: So technically proficient. No surprise she's first, imho. Nice lack of hug from Eteri when Alina hugs her... and lack of smile when Alina's score beats Med...well, Eteri, you created this, you'd better smile about it!!

LOL. Kurt saying judges don't agree with him when he says neither Evgenia nor Alina have a good 2A...

I give up understanding, in women's skating, why people get the scores that they do... but ignoring that, we had some really excellent skates by the top ladies in the sp. Very high quality.

CBC has been reshowing many of the SPs and I just saw Med's and Zag's skates. The look on Eteri's face when Zag's scores came up was . . . interesting.

I liked Osmond's skate much better than I have in the past. Maybe I imagined it but her smile seemed less forced than it usually does.

Tara says that Osmond should be first but Medvedeva has "prestige." And then Alina comes and beats them all without any "prestige." And then they showed both Kaetlyn and Evgenia's lutz edges and how they didn't get called because of their "prestige"

Regarding Kurt Browning's commentary:  I'm disappointed to say that the more I hear it, the less impressed I am by it. All that gushing over that blonde Canadian skater was ridiculous, especially since she skated so poorly that she didn't even qualify for the FS.

I didn't hear Kurt say anything about Osmond's lutz. Given how he was insisting earlier that the judges should absolutely be calling those errors, you would think he would have pointed that out. What a hypocrite.

He's Canadian, commentating for CBC. He's hardly going to point out a compatriot's issue if the judges don't. If it was a talking point over the season for the judges, then he might talk about it.
