Honestly? Neither Alina nor Zhenya come close to Kaori in their jump quality. Can I have Kaori first then?

Kaori doesn't have tanos and doesn't backload her jumps. On second thought...

Well, Kaori is in her first senior year so she needs more time to grow her PCS. Oh, that's not how it works...?

What I really mean, is that Kaori needs to show consistency and upward momemtum for higher scores. Ah...

Isn't Alina in her first senior year too?

Yeah, see... the only thing remained is the politicking.

I mean, I'd be glad to be proven wrong, but I think they have forever effed up the Ladies event.

Hence the salt over her PCS.

Well it's not over till it's over, I'm hoping the results on Friday will be less... salt-inducing.

@Forcefield is listing every single thing Zagitova and Kaori have in common.

Someone just asked me, "So what do the Russians do extra that gives them so many points?"

And I was like "Uhh...."

Well to be fair they have very well-crafted strategic programs that make full use of what the COP system demands and they are mentally very strong, executing their programs almost perfect most of the time... Alina's program is practically stuffed with TR and both her and Zhenya are extremely backloaded.

And the only 2 competitions so far where a giant fed hasn't grabbed the gold is Pairs and Men's, due to the gold medalists essentially not giving judges the chance to do that. *sigh* Small wonder they are the 2 most technicals disciplines of figure skating, where TES differences weigh a lot? Though Ice Dance is interesting since a big fed almost lost it...o_O

Ahhh..

 Lol

my mind is blank after seeing sp results.

The saddest part is Alina has such a likeable personality . She is really a good girl and an outstanding athlete. She does not deserv when people feel salty about her results.

This is not specifically aimed at you, but I've heard this argument many times and it's bonkers.

Are the Japanese ladies not making use of COP with their SS to combat against the Russian's TR? But I guess with the PCS corridor TR is the factor that determines the rest. In my book it should even out because of it.

True. The 1-2 placements are fair. Because of the above mentioned. But the 1-2 have to switch places  between them . IMHO

This is how I feel about Shoma (TES) too. It's crazy how FS judging can make me so salty. Off ice I'd like to hug and cuddle both of them, they're beautiful people, but sometimes I get so blinded with frustration. Well, I better stop with the salt before I make an even more unforgivable mistake.

Well I guess it can't be perfect all the time. So far these OG have been  perfect after a disasterous season.  Which is a real solace to my skating fan heart.  We  have to be greatful all the skaters doing their best ,  so far the podiums  have been  good and there are no major splatfests. After a   horror of a season  the skatong Gods  finally  give ussome break
