Actually, my faves are Wakaba and Mai but both of them didn't make it here. 

 

And then I learned about Kaori.

 

Kaori is for me what Boyang Jin is to me. They are rays of sunshine that for some reason always makes me want to root for them and both come with jumps and PCS that are growing but not at the same rate as their biggest competitors of the same generation.

And feeling especially sorry for Evgenia either. She got her 38 PCS undeservedly for so long, now another girl is russia's number 1 and gets even more undeservedly. No big difference for me. Sure, medvedeva has improved a lot, but I mean, not enough to get 38 regularly, when satoko is always around 33-35. 

 

German Eurosport were on fire. Started with complaining about the judging with skater 2. And didn't stop complaining until the last skater. They thought, that Kaetlyn should have been nearer to the top 2. that Alina doesn't deserve so many  PCS. That Kaori should have gotten higher GOE than Satoko. That Bradie was scored very generously etc. etc.

That sucks for both Japanese ladies, Kaori won't get a PCS boost right after Carolina! Unless Caro messes up. Good for Zhenya.

Damn, it's even GOE that has Alina beating Zhenya like that. Alina got 10.33 points on GOE. Zhenya got 10.09. They have a 1.87 BV difference, and Zhenya's PCS lead has been cut to 0.80. That BV difference shouldn't make as much difference as it does, but that GOE boost Alina is getting on everything is as bad as the PCS going up like it's helium inflated.

If they have a 1-2 finish like Japan, I wonder if the gala will pair them up? 

 

 

I'm suddenly on the Kaori-Boyang ship if she places 4th. (Though I hope she gets higher.) Their pairing will be all sunshine and unicorns.
