[2017] GP IdF Trophy - Men SP & FS

Featured Replies

I predicted a 106-107 score for Javi...I guess the scoring was okay. This SP is not as good as Malaguena and this wasn't the World Championships, so it shouldn't have got anything near his personal best. He did a good job, and it's nice to see him and Brian happy in the kiss and cry :smiley-love017:

The quality between Shoma's and Javi's skating was even more visible that Shoma skated right after him. I find that 46points  for the PCS way too much for a skate like Shoma did today.

It was reported Shoma had flu with high fever after skate Canada so he was unable to train for a while so his shape is not the best right now. Anyway wish him a better skate tomorrow. And I'm so so happy for Javi. Brian looked very content :)

I said the exact same thing after his SP at SC when he skated right after Patrick and the difference in skills was very evident. But the judges apparently have a different opinion

Maybe he looks really good live

The called Uno's 4F, Samarin's 4Lz, and Zhou's 4Lz and 4F.

There's yet hope for tech panel

But, how is Aaron's 4T-3turns-3T still counted as a proper combo??? Is this really how it is? I am asking cz they +COMBO-ed Yuzu's 4S2T back in WC. Has there been a change in that rule since then?

I don't know, I liked Patrick's and Javi's skating more than his when I saw them and could compare their skills live

I guess I am trying to find an explanation because I really don't understand his PC

On the french eurosport they explained that, since he didn't put his foot on the ice between the two jumps, the combo was valid.

In the case of Yuzu, the tech panel thought that he had put a knee on the ice (while he hadn't, but well...), so they called the combo invalid.
