So Vincent is moving two combo to the first half and taking out one 3A to make room for second half 4Lz. And LOL 3A before the 4S... when quads are easier than triple axels  .

Anyway I still think Javi is the one to beat here. He's the only one who can get high goe on every element and high (much higher than the rest) pcs, so if he doesn't botches his jumps I'd say that even 5 quads fs won't cut (big if though. Apparently skaters like flubbing their jumps when you less expect it)

Now I kinda feel I have to apologize to Javi for what I've said, because I'm jinxing a lot of late. If I jinx him here, too, I might become superstitious (jk...maybe)

 

Now, the ladies....

Maybe we'll see a beautiful 3A from Liza again! she probably needs it (+ a clean performance) to get on podium in this event. I wonder if Wakaba has any intention of putting 3A in her FS in her next competitions. Maybe for the gp she's focusing on going clean to get to the final and she's keeping the 3A for when/if the need of BV boost will outgrow the risk of the jump...

this is going to be the most heartbreaking exciting ladies competition of the whole GP circuit (reminds me of the JGP Egna for junior ladies, a lot of talented girls aiming at clean skates, one girl betting on her 3A, qualification at stake).

Just watching 5 minutes of open practice I felt the tension.

Alina lands the 2A-3T-3Lo-3Lo at the 4:30 mark.

Marin seems to have replaced her opening 3Lz-3T in the SP with a 3F-3T.

 

After scary men practices, full of falls (in general, don't know what about CoC this time), girls always seem so consistant. Such a relief. That's why what happened during the SC was really unexpected (for me). Wish girls all the best during the competition (please, no more crazy falls, I'm still recovering after the SC).

Anyone know how practice went for Javi? Since he's one of Yuzu's main rivals, I"m curious how he's skating right now.

It was only a snippet less than 5 minutes long. I clicked on the link of Alina's crazy combo that @katonice posted but I couldn't view that video, but on the right in that page I clicked on one of the frames with girls and I got to watch a bit of Gabby's Gladiator runthrough.

Heard it went pretty well.

Popped a 4S in one of his RTs but then landed a beautiful one.

His fans on Twitter seem to think he's in good condition.
