[2017] GP Skate Canada - Men SP & FS

I wonder if this has any connection to  his WD at Nebelhorn? Maybe he had an injury over the summer and hasn't quite recovered yet. It's odd for him not to be in fair condition yet if  healthy....

What is happening, first Brian now this thing with Chiddy, it's like since Yuzu's not there the curse manifested in different ways :tumblr_inline_ncmif7esGm1rpglid:

I think he withdrew from Nebelhorn because of boot problems

Oh no, I hope he doesn't actually withdraw :/ Patrick's one of the few skaters who have solid skating skills, not just jumps... I'd even call him the best in the field right now, sometimes he looks like he's floating on the ice. I never really followed his career, but if he withdraws I'm worried the R word's next.

I'd not think what will happen regarding that will influence the main plan. He'll stay until Olys and retire then (maybe WC18 is open, but that's the only one). It would still be a shame not to see him at NHK though.

Yeah, that's what I figured, retirement after Olympics. It'll still be a huge loss to the sport...

Well I guess with that the team building news is all our predictions for the mens sucked collectively. So, yay for team spirit? :peekapooh:

Hopefully Patrick is okay and will be able to decide what is best for him, NHK or not, and be back 100% whenever we see him next (hopefully at least Olys ofc). I still can't believe Jason and Samarin wore.... those things, and that Shomas fall was not even called a fall.

Hopefully while I go off to dream land the Pairs will stay strong and slay the Canadian ice curse. Good luck to everyone who's up watching it!

It wasn't called a fall? Shit, I completely missed that. How shocking, especially given this sport is known for always being fair.

some good news
