Sorry, guys, not staying up for this. I thought CoR schedule was relentless, but this beats it. Do they provide a two hour break for lunch?

Me too... Only Yuzuru competing  can keep me awake that late at night. Good luck to all the skaters!

Definitely. The ladies have had their share of lousy skates - that'll be enough.

That was quite a carrot field out there, it seems!

Good luck to everyone! :tumblr_inline_n18qrbDQJn1qid2nw:

Not staying up for this, the time difference is horrible this time and no Yuzu, so hello sleep :big-bed-smiley: (last night I was plagued by FS related nightmares though haha)

I've been desperately trying to like Winter for a while now because Shoma is my second favorite among the guys but ugggghhhh. I don't know what it is but I just can't bring myself to enjoy it. I can see that it has become much much better since FaOI but the choreo and the music still seem to be sort of disconnected. I love Vivaldi. I love Shoma. But the two together? I am so so sad I don't like it as much as I want to :slinkaway:

Patrick was great, a really lovely program. And he patted that cute panda toy in such an adorable way afterwards, awwww :tumblr_inline_ncmifaymmi1rpglid:

I can't stay up for this, but if insomnia strikes I might watch - will look at it tomorrow if not.

Everyone's going to sleep here :rofl:Well I'm gonna watch (who needs sleep anyway?), and I want to see something better than the ladies today, please. :grouphug: <- prayer circle for all the guys today.

I would join you but I have a VIP coming for lunch tomorrow- someone I don't see very often who was a bit of a mentor and is a fearsome conversationalist- got to be on top of my inadequate game.  Hope everyone does their best but my hopes and best wishes are with James /Cipres

I’m happily ignoring all the Shoma blabla. Just wanted to say I thought he was amazing, I love Winter, love  Shoma’s skating and jumps, and want to start a petition to the ISU to make a tie something more than only virtually impossible for the OGM.

Wow, very nice of you to call some of the posts of your fellow posters here "blabla"  :slinkaway:

I've only watched the top 3 men so far, and I guess the first positive that has to be noted is that the standings are correct between them. But man, I'd never thought there'd come a day when I'd type the words "I" "Think" "Patrick" "Was" "Underscored" in one sentence. In Canada?! What happened to you Chanada? Taken over completely by Kaenada now? Does make me feel sorry for him. But then again, he does seem to want to just enjoy skating this season, and not be chasing medals all that much anymore. Taking out the 4S also seems to be a sign of this, and while I'm usually a fan of technical progress and his 4S was a beauty when he hit it, I think it might not be a bad thing to keep it that way. It's his swan song, and the most important part is that he feels great with his performances, if that includes going back to comfortable content instead of challenging, then so be it. And who knows, he might be more of a threat to the other guys like this too, stranger things have happened at Olympics (even if it is very unlikely). Stay healthy Pat and get those performances that make you happy!

Jason is my rainbow sunshine puppy unicorn and even if I have my gripes with this SP, the sheer happiness he throws around the rink makes me happy watching him. And yes, he's missing the big jumps, but his skating is so beautiful - good edges, multi-directional turns & one-foot skating done with good quality and speed, great knee action, so smooth across the ice... just beautiful. Can't wait to watch his beautiful beautiful LP <3

As for Shoma, I'm not surprised with the score, although Chiddy being lower in PCS was unexpected (again, Chiddy being underscored in Ex-Chanada, #error404 input does not compute). Besides the usually PR and loop take off of his 4F, the jump was actually also borderline UR just on the landing, so I'm surprised so many think it was one of his better 4Fs. And how empty the choreo is annoys me especially because looking at his edges, he should by all accounts be able to pull off some interesting TR and all. Sigh. Judges wasting talent, as always. Performance also isn't my style, but the high PE & IN marks are justifiable with his charisma, musicality and nice upper body movements IMO. Overall though, I can't say I don't disagree given the SS, CH & TR scoring and some of the GOE (and 4F BV) - but I only hope we're not reaching the point where a clean Shoma beats a clean Yuzu. My standards are basically non-existent Thanks ISU & judges for creating all year halloween in skating!

Not sure yet about the Men's LPs, but given the switch to winter time and the additional hour it gives us tonight I might actually stay awake for it. Not that anyone would want my snark during it, but oh well

You wouldn't have all those empty seats if Yuzu was skating there tonight.

Makes you wonder where all those "real skating fans" are the evil Fanyus always steal tickets from... :peekapooh:

Dear Mr. Fentz, please let me know who designed your costume so I can find them and hit them over the head with a Pooh bear. Thank you.
