Agree! And this season, isn't there a rule that you can't give 10s to programs with major errors? Well Yuzu made 2 Boo-boo's, so his PCs scores would be in some circles, called inflated. He averaged what, 9.5, and judges still gave him 9.75s a plenty.

But I don't know if it was UR though...need to watch slow-mo because normal speed seemed like he was fine?

No one other than Javi could get come close to that.

Yes, they specifically changed it because we had instances last season of that happening.

With two major mistakes, a 46+ is a huge score.

I know we love him but no way was he underscored here.

Yes. And last season he barely had the combo :peekapooh:

I was thinking that.

He'd better land that 4lz tomorrow. And skate the rest of it clean.

And I hope Nathan skates clean. Then we'll have a better idea of what kind of room for error Yuzu has for Worlds and Olympics.

Yea...You can't attack him for small jumps; can't attack him for empty programs; can't attack him for lack of transitions...

speaking of transition, look at the protocol....lowest again...

because you cannot attack him on other places. no place to attack. Zuzu is that perfect

yeah, so i wish people would drop the "inconsistency" narrative. it is not true and not doing yuzuru any good.

i'm not saying he's consistent, of course, more than anything i hope people will recognise that yuzuru is a human and mistakes are natural for him. i just don't want people to make too big of a deal of everything he does. i think he's just no more or less consistent than any of the other men.

The day people will stop expecting only the highest things from Yuzu is the day they start to hold figure skating events in hell because it will have frozen over

It's true. It isn't fair, but Nathan and Shoma will not face anywhere near the same pressure this year. Or until Yuzu you-know-whats.

the one thing that needs to be analyzed by yuzu and his team is that, apparently, chopin's music still couldnt make him calm enough lol but anyway why are we talking as if he and his team would just sit tight n do nothing? whatever went wrong on today's performance they'll figure it out (i hope)

what if he repeats all of his 2014 sochi programs....same programs at two different olympics, 4 years apart

well, I'd totally be ok with PW, but RJ 2.0 is a no no for me . except for the boobskirt, the boobskirt can stay :slinkaway:

tbh, with inflated PCS, Yuzu is supposed to get 46 even if he has 1 jump...

(who cares if it doesn't work, it's so beautiful and magical and hypnotic)

I know you're joking but I actually do care :peekapooh:
Also, I firmly believe his own mind is his biggest obstacle

ehhh....in the end im not that upset and frankly idc about CoR. it's not really about *winning* CoR per se.

whether it's a pattern that he needs to be worried about...maybe...but at this point i'd still say anything goes. he still has chances to get it together. and even if he skated perfectly here i wouldn't be worried any less. LOL. so i guess nothing has changed really.

and with that...i'm off to sleep :13877886: night guys~

I'm sure he would benefit from it (as would do a lot of people tbh) but I doubt he'd ever consider therapy.  We've seen him meditating today, I hope he does that regularly :2thumbsup:

Unfortunately I think there's still a lot of stigma in asia about mental health.

But Yuzu is strong and I trust him and his team. It's more stressful for us fans, but as a whole it's good for the sports to have so many top contenders.

agree but it won't happen unless Yuzu goes to his own planet...
