yeah, so i wish people would drop the "inconsistency" narrative. it is not true and not doing yuzuru any good.

i'm not saying he's consistent, of course, more than anything i hope people will recognise that yuzuru is a human and mistakes are natural for him. i just don't want people to make too big of a deal of everything he does. i think he's just no more or less consistent than any of the other men.

You can repeat that all you like but you're not going to get them to drop it. That NBC article had that precisely for a reason. There's nothing else to go after but the 'consistency' issue. And when you have Nathan skating clean against him, that's going to boost the PR picture that is being created. This is how Olympics are won and lost. There's a battle in the rink but there's a battle outside of it too.

I mean, Yuzuru himself is banging on and on about necessary consistency. He isn't doing that for no reason. And if Yuzuru says it's important, then I think we should listen to him.

It's the first GP, so it's not the end of the world, far from it but it's a very good warning

the only other person who could get 46+ on pcs with a program with ur's and falls is patrick. his score was fine.

also bless up that deniss' pcs score was a little higher than usual, i miss keiji and a good debut for dima!!! :tumblr_inline_mfy92hO4sm1qid2nw:

Let's see how he goes in the FS tomorrow before we get too dire about the media narrative being crafted - this makes NHK more dire in that he has to do well but he's faced this before too. The team don't seem too shocked/negative about it so I'm hoping that's a good sign
