He already looks intimidating with tacky and sparkly costumes, with his murder look only. Imagine that, a hundred times more, amplified by the character (Seimei) he has to portray and the costume he is wearing...

I remember Aliev saying  the same thing! Haha, delicate and ethereal Yuzu appears on the ice! Everybody is shaking in their booths! LOL ...jk

I'm definitely on board with Seimei being red in place of purple/green, and alot of black would be cool too. I've seen so many fan arts, everyone seems to be anticipating a red Seimei. We should see at ACI!

No matter what the color of winning truly is, i think, i'll love his new costume without doubt, he deserves it and it'll certainly suit him. As for COC in 2014......i think it was really an important experience for him though it broke everyone's heart

Speaking about red color. I know, I'm acting childish, but let's say I just asked Notre-Dame's blessing for all Yuzu's red costumes whenever he will have any (simple association with almost red costume of Notre-Dame's program). 

It's not like I have any superstitions about red colour, but I truly believe that love can do everything. So if you are praying sincerely for somebody's happiness, everything will be ok.

P.S. I'm sorry, I'm hopeless in origami, even this a bit poor swan took me an hour, not mentioning some practice before. So I can't offer my help for thousand-swan-project, but  @Hydroblade thank you so much for an inspiration!

Ah this thread, started May 1st is about to reach an interesting point. Just a few more days and he will skate with his jacket onto the ice and everyone will scream once again when he takes it off. Our days of wondering will be replaced by days of ... something. At least we know it won't be Now You See Him, Now You Don't.

yuzu looks great in red but whatever colors he wears, the most important thing is that the costume fits the program he's skating, i guess...

 

the new seimei costume looks beautiful!  the embroidery is awesome and it looks like he's got a giant gold/silver bird on front and back of his shirt ... maybe it's all part of the "lucky" superstition...

So I was looking through the portfolio of the designer Hanyu has been going through these past few years to get his costumes made and wow, she's incredible with details. It's no wonder Hanyu and so many others go to her. Strange thing is, even though I see a bunch of other skaters in her portfolio, there's zero mention of Hanyu himself. Like, if they hadn't released that news about his SEIMEI costume last month, you wouldn't even have known that he hires her services. I'm guessing there's a  good reason but man, the complete lack is more stark than if at least one of his costumes she's made for him gets featured, especially since that recent news made the front page of the sports section.
