@Anony Javi is quite into character but for once I would like to see him doing something different. Maybe this season is the not the best one for experimentation but I hope he'll tackle new styles in the future (whether on competitions or shows). And I quite like Vivaldi's Winter, and like you've mentioned, it's still the 'first' performances so I hope he changes the timing of his jumps and step sequence. That last part (the very recognizable part that is used quite frequently in TV commercials) is not given enough emphasis.

Right, totally understandable. I think his Danny Boy and Touch of Evil EX is the closest thing we have to Javier doing something heavier. I think I'd like to see him do something like a bolero(regardless of how much I hate... some parts of the song) or a rumba, something more romantic, slower paced, exciting without necessarily quirky. Both are somewhat popular ballroom dances I think can fit him with time. But yeah, I'm waiting until the Olympics.

We share the same opinion, I think Shoma's step sequence in this is quite disappointing. Upper body movements are his best aspect and in this they're quite meh at the moment. Also I want to see him put more transitions and have less crossovers overall.

I think it's a point of playing to his strengths and Javier certainly does perform well when it comes to this type of programs. Not a style I am into and I am admittedly, not blown away with this program but it's just the start, I am sure it will evolve (including the change of outfit).

Right and the fact that it is Olympic season and everyone is playing safe doesn't help. That aside I think the costume change is a given. Not sure about the moustache (), but there 's no way skating in clothes that loose is a good idea in competitions.

I hope you're right on skating clothes because I want this outfit GONE!!!

Preferably three days before yesterday. >_<

Sorry I can't find the post I wanted to quote for this, but to circle back to an older conversation on Shoma and Yuzu using a word translated as "attack"—as a native English speaker, it sounds like the word "challenge" captures the meaning better. You usually attack others (often with hostile intent), and if you attack yourself it's a negative, as in self-harm and low self-esteem. There is no sense of winning against your past self. Challenging yourself does carry that meaning. Also, challenging others—laying down a challenge for them to meet—is not as aggressive a wording as attacking them.

I remember one thing: the "lost baby" face he made somewhere at the end of the first half of the program. I thought very clearly: "Well, he has the 'lost baby' character completely mastered already! Impressive!"

 Here it is.

Sorry, I can't take it seriously

Oh my God HOW could anyone take it seriously, he looks like a little fox about to get run over by a truck

Plus he totally fell at 2:13, that glide definitely wasn't on purpose, his body weight was leaning too much on his right leg and he lost balance xD

I just remembered P.Chan SP for the Sochi Oly. His ss was amazing. Shoma must work  really hard if he wants to go somehow near Patrick with this program...

Was this posted here? Johnny and Stéphane being precious getting ready for FaOI.

Thank you! Damn twitter, it's hard to keep track of what's new there. I'd never seen this, though, so I found it super precious. And how did I not notice they said Sapporo!?
