Aww, she was so emotional! It was a beautiful moment! I belive everybody in the venue had tears in their eyes. Me, too, in front of my laptop! :LOVE_s::8122879:

Yes, same! At the end there I was tearing up too, it was so emotional. Audience was just lovely!

She's such a wonderful, talented skater that I'm hoping these shows will allow her to relax and breathe and enjoy skating again. She can make it to the Olympics, she has to goods, so I'm crossing everything for her.

I'm team Anna, too ! Fay just posted an amazing photo with her in Team Russia thread! I was heartbroken for her at WC!! I still can't belive what happend to her there! Head up, Anna! She really have the potential to catch the Oly Team. What I'm really scared of is the RF, how much confidence did they still have in her at this moment!! :11135030:

I think the fact she got so emotional was that she touched with the support she got from the fans - after that horrible meltdown. I do hope she makes it there - she's gorgeous on ice!

We'll see how it goes, she'll have to show in the GPs that she is over that moment and if she can make it to the GPF I think her case will be considerably strengthened, especially depending on possible placing there. It's a lot of conditions, sure, but nothing else to be done. Then perform lights out at Rus Nats and ... pray.

As @Fay said, she has experienced now support from fans even after it all, so I'm hoping this, and some good skates at shows, help bolster her.

I finally got time to watch the entire thing today (since tomorrow is holiday here) and I must say that Shoma's Vivaldi and Javi's Chaplin is not something that I appreciate. And it's not about the jumps or technical elements. It's just that I feel like Chaplin is a typical program for Javi (and I kind of want to watch something different from him) and Shoma and Winter are disconnected. Let's see how they will change over the summer.

My mom watched the opening with me and then she asked:

Mom: 'Wow, the golden jacket looks awesome! When is Yuzuru skating again?'

Me: 'He's the last skater.'

Mom: 'How long will this take?'

Me: 'He'll be back to the screens around 1 hour and half later.'

Mom: *goes away*

Me: 'You not watching the show?'

Mom: 'I'll come back later. I just want to watch Yuzu. Once you've seen him skate, you feel like the others are no good anymore.'

I'm going to have to agree on Javier, he's a skater I appreciate and I feel is easy to support(good personality, good skater), but I admit to not necessarily caring for his style or his programs. But again, I do appreciate him as a skater and objectively, he does play Chaplin well.

For Shoma, with an exception of the final spin, I don't care for Winter as well, but I would wait. His programs typically get better overtime, with more performances.

I wonder what's going wrong for me. If I try to watch the video on Dailymotion it says "page not found" but I can watch it on here. All the usual websites and programs I usually use to download say they can't find the video from the link.

Some of the DM uploaders use DM Japan. I think that's the problem. I couldn't watch DM videos by yuzupino on my DM apps bc it's said the videos are from DM Japan, but watching it on twitter or other secondary platforms work.

I watched the whole show after the first 10 or 15 minutes that I missed, but while I know I watched Shoma, I can't recall a single  thing from his program... Seems he's more impressive to me being kind of cute in finales. ^^;

Javi's skating I basically liked - though more the later Pirates of the Caribbean thing - but I really wish he'd drop the clown approach. Nothing wrong with being funny, but this isn't even funny to me, it's mostly just drab. He really should get himself other programs and most of all sexy costumes again, it's not as if he hasn't ever had those before. Really now!

As for your mother, you rock, Lady! :agree:

@Fay and @b138oo My mom is too biased... LOL... she won't watch competitions unless Yuzuru's on them.

@Anony Javi is quite into character but for once I would like to see him doing something different. Maybe this season is the not the best one for experimentation but I hope he'll tackle new styles in the future (whether on competitions or shows). And I quite like Vivaldi's Winter, and like you've mentioned, it's still the 'first' performances so I hope he changes the timing of his jumps and step sequence. That last part (the very recognizable part that is used quite frequently in TV commercials) is not given enough emphasis.

I remember one thing: the "lost baby" face he made somewhere at the end of the first half of the program. I thought very clearly: "Well, he has the 'lost baby' character completely mastered already! Impressive!"

Hopefully JF and SU will work on it over the summer- that rink looked quite small so the jumps must have been a bit scary.  Js costume is just horrible - only a film buff will get the reference- the average once every 4 years skating spectator just won't know what the hell is going on.  With a bit of luck now he's seen it on film he'll ditch it as he did the moustache

I think it's a point of playing to his strengths and Javier certainly does perform well when it comes to this type of programs. Not a style I am into and I am admittedly, not blown away with this program but it's just the start, I am sure it will evolve (including the change of outfit).

When it comes to Shoma, he is going to go to Lambiel for choreo adjustments so I think we can bet on some of the issues being fixed. Currently, I feel like they are wasting Vivaldi's Winter, none of the big cues are really used properly. Most of the program I spent thinking but why this here? I think he'll improve as time passes too, he always does.
