When I heard him say, "エネルギーを全て出し切る (put all my energy into (my performance))" in the promo clip, I thought of Masquerade because the comment resembled what he said in FaOI 2019 interviews, but I never thought he would actually bring back the program! I think bringing back Crystal Memories tomorrow may be a good idea because performing Masquerade twice a day must be exhausting.

As to SP, he sounds pretty much like he is going to have a new one. He said "実際にまだ音源はできていない (The music isn't ready yet)" when asked about it. He also said "ただ、振付に関してリモートで、と考えてはいます (But I am planning to receive choreography remotely)" when a reporter asked him whether he would continue training in Japan. (Sorry for not being able to providing a full translations)

Thank you so much for sharing all these links and your thoughts 💖 And oh...dreaming here to watch again Crystal Memories one more time,  maybe...! <3

Thank you everyone for sharing the news and links from today show ! 🙏

I have been wondering about Yuzu's comment in interview today at DOI about his priority and focus being landing the 4A in competition, and that Beijing is a bit of an insignificant part of the season that he might do if he is still on his journey to landing the 4A.

Some satellites have wondered what's even the point when NC has the Oly gold in the bag before he even sets foot on ice, and if Yuzuru has come to accept this and maybe even think it's not something he particularly is focussing on this season.  I would ask then, why oh why is he (saying that he is) going to change his SP?? Previous comments from him have been about how piano music shows his best skills, the delicacy of his skating as well as the strength he demonstrates in his elements, and I am sure he has linked this to the Olympic season in the past? (am I imagining that??) It doesn't make sense to me - putting effort into learning and practising a new SP when he could just concentrate on 4A, especially when LMEY has been sooooo well received by everyone and no-one would mind him keeping it this season at all! Unless he really wants to wi.......no, no it's just a thought.

Oh and also the evidence presented in @Henni147's post about Beijing colours and theme fitting so beautifully with Ten to Chi to.....mind you did Yuzuru know these before he chose his colours and theme for his FS....it's so hard to read his mind! He might even be trolling us about new music for SP !!

Ahhh I fainted just now but have now been revived by his 3A! I looked at the video closely and I think he over rotated by almost 1/3 to 1/2 a rotation! I feel like my head is spinning just watching him do that jump too.

the 4A *really* wants to be set free...

What Yuzu says to the media is not for himself, he knows his own thoughts, it is for us the fans. He is setting expectations and making sure we don't get too invested in him winning just to get disappointed if it doesn't happen. Yuzu is a fighter and a challenger. If he went to the Olympics, he will do his best and more no doubt about that. But there are other factors that are working against him. Some fans refuse to acknowledge these things so he needed to make them think about it.

I put this in spoilers, because:

Spoiler

I don't want to spoil Yuzu's potential master plan:

Spoiler

A) What if he speculates on - if he continues to show maximum desinterest in the Games - IOC will crawl on the floor, beg him to compete and put pressure on the ISU to treat him accordingly, otherwise FS will be thrown out of the Olympic program (or something similar)?

EDIT

B) He trolls all of us, having prepared absolute killer programs for the Olympics long ago, and just playing games to lull the ISU and opponents into a false sense of security. So that the momentum of surprise is on his side. Then dropping the bomb last minute in Beijing.

Him training alone means no one can leak spicy information to the outside by mistake, as it happened multiple times at the Cricket Club. That might be an additional bonus of staying at home in Japan.

Footnote: I will go into this season with the expectation that he will either not compete in Beijing at all or if he will, then because he wants to give something to his fans. Whatever the outcome will be, I will continue to root for him and follow his journey.

Also, Yuzu has said many times that he always feels like a challenger, and never wants to be the one who's expected to win! So this could be another way he keeps himself motivated... But I think the 4A is all he truly cares about at this point; I can't wait to see it!!!

Oh I liiike it!

I don't think Yuzu is speaking like that for fans' benefit, he's been very consistent with what he wanted to do after his 2nd OGM. it's always been 4A 4A 4A 4A 4A.... Though it probably also helps managing people's (and media's) expectations.
more under spoiler.

Spoiler

Zu always boldly states what he wants to achieve e.g. 2nd OGM, "I will win Nats", and so on. He's never stated anything remotely close for Beijing. But for 4A, he has.

Yes, his competitive nature resurfaced right after ACI18, but since then he's had some tough seasons and bitter experiences and I don't mean merely the injuries or the defeats (and ridiculous point gaps) per se. I mean that this might no longer be the kind of figure skating he loves, the kind of healthy competition that really fires him up. If there's a wall to overcome, gotta be a wall he can climb with his own strenght alone.

Yuzu doens't care about OGM as a piece of metal per se, nor for the clout it can bring. He cares about the history behind it, his and that of his competitors. He loves competing because he loves the thrill of measuring himself up against other strong people, each one with their own weapons, on equal ground. If OWG can't give him that....

4A, on the other hand, is both his childhood dream and something unique but tangible, in comparison. Landing a rotated 4A would be a reward he himslef can achieve with his own strenght alone.

To use the post-Olympic press conference, Yuzuru's skating and 4A are truths in the sea of lies created by isu.

Now, for what I know Yuzu might think that placements have always been fair (he is, after all, his own the strictest judge), but after 2019 his attitude shifted: His competitive side and love for challenges won't let him give up on technical difficulty (which is also integral part of his vision of FS), but his pride in his own skating will not let him compromise on how he wants to skate and what he want to convey.

The numbers ISU gave to his skating vs others' are screaming at him that his is not the way to go, and he's saying: "you know what? whatever (just wait for my AI scoring system:smiley-cool14:). As for me, I'll go out with something this sport won't forget."

Either way, he's set on making history again.

@Henni147 re: you point A, what if ISU won't ratify rotated Nessie form Yuzu before OWG..so he'll have a very good reason to go?:tumblr_inline_n2pjd1FzUP1qdlkyg:

(though, I think that even if he could get a ratified 4A before that, he'd still love to go to OWG to land one on the biggest stage, if he can)

May he be healthy and achieve what he he sets his eyes on!:snonegai:

still no info on possible live qq stream, uh? I'm really gonna wake up a 5am and scramble for it... and it's even possible that I'll be there are at 5.30am lonely staring at my screen full of gushing about stuff I can't watch:tumblr_inline_mn41rkfu9v1qz4rgp:
