I'm on Butt Spin Defense Squad! Yuzu has his straight long legs to make it work, forming an actual neat A shape. Plus, the position itself looks a bit unbalanced, with one foot on ice as the center & the other in air spinning. It gives me a sense of floating & weightlessness, which I find oddly pleasing. So I'd love to see it again, especially if he (though unlikely) decides that it's time he showed his back mercy & drop the  Biellmann.

I'd also love to see a longer Ina Bauer, like those he did in RJ2 & POTO. I think its brilliance deserves more than a few musical notes, but a climax. And the sit twizzles too, they have always been my favorite.

I liked the butt spin in Oly SP, with the arm behind the back. It suddenly looked more elegant. There's a variation of upright spin Shoma does that I like (or at least I think it's upright spin), but if Yuzu did that, it'd seem like he's copying, so, nope. I actually do like the Biellmann, but not if it hurts him >_<

I'd also vote for the traveling sit spin - the one in White Legend is so awesome! - and layback spin. And long Ina Bauers, as well as long hydroblades (not tiny ones like Dory). But I'm pretty sure no matter what he does, I'll love lol

Tbh I don't think so, he doesn't have a long history of back issues, because he's naturally flexible + training that flexibility probably on a daily basis... he's still pretty young so I don't see any reason for him dropping it yet c: But of course maybe it requires a lot of effort and he might choose to shift the focus on other elements for his FS...

Yeah I echo everyone else and say layback spin + travelling sit spin because I love those. Also, a spiral. And more besti squat. And Butterfly jump. Aaah I just want everything.

He actually does. Prior to JWC 2009 he had really bad back pain that he could hardly jump (resulted in a 12th place finish). He had back pain prior to WC 2014. Also, he withdrew from competing in the 2014 Finlandia Trophy due to back pain as well.... and those incidents are the ones he's willingly shared. There might be others that we're not aware of.

I think he's also said that it's hard to breathe during that - and Ina Bauer, too, I think? Plus, I think it's also some pressure on the ankle, when he's pulling the leg up - which was my guess as to why he left it out at Olys. I want him to do it only for as long as he's comfortable doing it, to be honest...
