All this speculation of Olys...I really dont care if he goes or not. If he does, great. If not, cool. All I've really heard him talk about is the 4A and landing that as his goal. To my knowledge he isnt gunning for the Olympics like he was previously.

I just want him to recover well and accomplish his ambitions.

Thanks for sharing!
The original message is a bit stronger than the DeepL translation. Nekomasamune says, "I believe Hanyu Yuzuru senshu's recovery from his injury and pray for it."

Thank you @sweetwater for the correction.

You know, I have tickets and everything arranged for COR… and few days ago I thought I should share maybe some pictures or experiences from this upcoming trip and opened an account in Twitter. Today I’ve used it for the first time:

This is a wonderful first tweet from you :67638860: , even if the circumstances are a bit sad. :sad4:

I'm really grateful that there is the Planet, I didn't feel so alone today. Thank you :grouphug:

I’m sure that it’s been on other people’s minds as well, but Yuzu really likes to tempt fate doesn’t he? His big jump for the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics was the quad Lutz and he was practicing that at the 2017 NHK Trophy when you know what happened.

I’m hoping, wishing and praying with all my might that Yuzu will successfully tame Nessie and remain healthy and injury free.

It looks like what I feared has come to pass and history is repeating itself with Yuzu injuring his ankle three months before the commencement of the Beijing Olympics figure skating competition. It was almost inevitable that this would happen given the difficulty of the quad Axel.

In order to recover as efficiently and safely as possible, Yuzu should return to Toronto to get treatment from the medical experts who have helped him in the past and to do graduated training with Ghislain as he did before the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics.

My condolences to @SuzyQ and @daisyjune who had finally managed to get free skate tickets for NHK.

And here's another specialist from Canada.

"Yuzu should" OMG

Let's not be doom and gloom...it's a sad time enough, but he's gotten injured on "safer" jumps too. A bad fall is a bad fall, regardless of the jump. As for returning to Toronto, I think his Japanese doctors can take care of him. They also have a history with him, nevermind the pandemic. His health staff I trust. JSU is another matter, but then I feel the same for an "XXSU".

Yuzuru sometimes we argue a bit on here about the best course of action for you, it's borne from our desire for wanting only the best for you, but of course we know you are a strong minded individual who will make the best choice for yourself as you see fit - sometimes there really isn't a BEST decision, just A decision to be made and stuck to. There are probably pros and cons to any decision you might make about where it's best for you to be right now, but you are the only one who knows how to balance and prioritise your differing needs and make the right choice for yourself.  Mental wellbeing and physical health are linked, you have to look after them both well. Your family and their situation will also come into this now that you have been a part of the whole family again, for a significant period of time. Their needs and views along with the pandemic will also shape any choices you make. We understand that and support you in the decisions you make - trust yourself and your judgement, because we do! (even if we think we might have made a different decision ourselves! We are all unique individuals after all.)

Fellow satellites - I don't know why I wrote my thoughts to Yuzuru; reflecting on it I think probably because it's a way to avoid confrontation of any sort - he wont answer me back lol!!

I also want to thank everyone here today - honestly I have felt gutted. I have had to get on with stuff, and forgotten for moments here and there about what has happened to Yuzu, and then remembered with a feeling like a heavy stone dropping in my stomach...

I hope everyone looks after themselves (my teen and I had delicious chicken donburi from a Japanese restaurant takeaway, and we are going to watch one of the Shrek movies...again!!!), and that you all sleep OK tonight. Maybe tomorrow things will seem a bit brighter, I hope so.

I really don't want to predict future anyway since we know next to nothing about the injury, but if Yuzu wants to compete on Japanese Nationals there is only 7 weeks until then. If he leaves right now to Toronto, he would have approximately four weeks with his team after which he would have to quarantine in Japan two weeks with limited practice opportunities right before important competition. Of course if he is chosen to Olympic team without Nationals, then traveling to Toronto and arriving straight to Beijing would be possible.

None of this is important right now, but it is so easy to say "he should be in Toronto right now" without considering the Japanese COVID policy.

Once upon a time I was told that being a Fanyu is riding a rollercoaster.

That was a looping, right? So there is only one direction to go now: upwards. :grouphug:

I expecially feel with those who overcame many obstacles to go to see Yuzuru live, but how hard it must be for Yuzuru himself. If it helped, we would send poohs to any hospital he wants us to, we would try not to scream when he finishes a performance, we would restrain our criticism towards stylists of CMs... It doesn't help.

How about fighting ourselves then... Probably everyone of us has something she/he evaded long enough, avoids to do but should, or defers purposely. How about getting this done during NHK? That's when things must be the hardest for Yuzu now.

We want him to fight against frustration and to work for the healing process of his ankle. So let's fight and work too! One step after another, believe in everything - take whatever Yuzu-motto you need. Fighting a bit with him may rise our spirit and hope again. We are with you, Yuzuru, you can do it!

Did Yuzu say he wanted to go back to Toronto? These are Orser fans' dreams, not Yuzu.

Really seems like 2017 all over again. Hopefully the outcome will be similar and maybe because of that it will taste even better.

Of course it’s disappointing and the situation isn’t an easy one but once the initial anger is over there is no point in wringing hands in despair, it won’t help. He said earlier „step by step”. Seems like that theme is even more valid now. An athlete as experienced as him takes their steps wisely. Let’s hope there will be enough time for all the steps needed and no more hardships along the way. Step by step. Step by step. Until one of those steps is 4A

The quest to conquer 4A is fraught with risk and danger. To add to this challenge are previous injuries to his right ankle. Hence, the possibility of incurring (career ending) injury is always on my mind. Banish disappointments and negativity as fast as they enter our minds and channel our energy of optimism and positivity and transmit them to Yuzu, together with our love and support. If the recovery period means he has to sit out the Grand Prix Series, Japan Nationals or even Beijing Olympics, so be it. The important thing is his injury heals well and he’s able to chase his dreams again.

The absolute wisest decision for Yuzu is to stay at home, which he does.  In Sendai he can get the treatment he needs. And he's been missing any coaching this yeas.

Reading this from you after hearing about Yuzu's injury doesn't surprise me either. Is that what you've been hoping for two years?

Is that response okay with anyone?  Why would ANY of us hope Yuzu would be injured and WHO is @180267?  Why would you say something so rude and disrespectful? We are all Fanyus here.  I can wish that Yuzu had gone back to Toronto and received in-person coaching, and I do, but that's because that's what I believe would have been and would be best for him.  We can have a difference of opinion without getting nasty.
