I got insulted as a crazy hanyu fan once again... just by saying I think yuzu is great...like literally lol. well time to focus on ACI haha

 I would have taken it as a compliment, not as an insult. If that's the worst they can say!

haha yeah I replied in a way such that I was good with receiving that. but ya know the person who said this to me is a so called fan of yuzu that was somehow angered with me saying yuzu is great. idk what's wrong with the world anymore. 

as a crazy fanyu who actually skates, the salt tends to get sky high. I still do not get why I have to prove I like other skaters too if I criticize their technique, it gets tiring, like people cannot imagine it possible to like more than one skater, or to like a skater despite their flaws....

When I first got into this fandom, I got called a crazy fanyu . I didn't know the FS world was so hardcore with biases and antis. Oh well I come from the kpop world and fight these battles everyday armed with receipts.

 And I just can't be bothered to fight - I love those I love, and I try and not over-criticise those I don't like. 

As for craziness charge... well, back in the GS days Yuzuru Hanyu thread constituted a third of Fan Fest Forum in general. You've got to have a bunch of crazy people to achieve that. 

I always said that such a special skater as Yuzu deserves very special fans!

I'm not too sure lol. apparently just because I was praising yuzu, I'm hating on others? I didn't even mentioned a single thing about another skater tho and the "yuzu fan" saying that the hanyu fandom is crazy  is like saying she's not a yuzu fan, otherwise she's crazy too. 

Yeees, we are the crazy, evil Fanyus!!!  And our craziness  will get bigger and bigger bc it's oly season ... And our Evil Overlord Zuzu will put a spell on everybody else and they will tremble scared  in their boots .... !!!! Look at him how evil he is ...

I'm proud to be the crazy fan of Hanyu !  Thank you very much    There's something definetely worthy to be crazy about 

To be honest, I was worried in the beginning when PH was born that it will turn into an echo chamber or a hate space like many other places in the internet. So, I am quite relieved that it is now truly a safe place where I can give an opinion and even make mistakes without having people jump on me and calling me names.  

Now that the Olympic season is starting I can already see the hate and poison starting to speared and it is going to be really hard to survive being fans of the most popular skater and the one everyone wants to bring down for their favorites. It is great to have Planet Hanyu and it's satellite to be crazy with 

 

Thank you everyone who made this  possible, I am looking forward enjoying (yes enjoying) this season with you all

This I will never understand, just like when people can only throw shit on other skaters to elevate their own favourite. Critique is different from bashing; praising one doesn't mean you're devaluing another. And as @Xen said, you can like a skater without being blind to their flaws I would say this is recommended, lol

 

It's called maturity and chill. We all should remember to use them

Thing is, while we're all obviously here because we have a soft spot or a whole soft everything for Yuzuru, many of us follow other skaters too and/or the sport in general, so I believe people are capable of being at least respectful to other athletes, if not outright supportive. After all, PH was born precisely out of need for a place where all The Crazy Fanyus^TM could do their thing without being judged or looked down upon, so we all know how it feels and don't want to reproduce that ourselves. 

 

But yes, it's nice to see how this little corner of the internet has been growing so far. Let's keep things fresh and survive enjoy the new season!
