    I was browsing through the blog of an unrelated topic on my phone (at work) and suddenly I noticed that all of the ads on that page were from amazon prompting me to buy Yuzuru Hanyu photobooks/magazines. Yes, the browsing cookies finally kicked in! This is the first time an ad made me smile because just seeing pretty Yuzuru out of nowhere when I least expected it makes me smile. Sunken deep. :2thumbsup:

    Yuzu: I don’t think I’m humble at all. Just the opposite, because my character is too fixated on winning, as a sportsman, I have an unyielding spirit and a big mouth. That people want their children to be like me makes me happy. But at the same time, I am me, each person is different and each child has his/her own goodness. I have a lot of very bad areas too. If you don’t only look at the bad parts but look at the good parts as well, I think (the children) will be happy and will be able to grow more. Please allow me to say this because I have turned 20.     This question and answer exchange took place at a press conference at the airport on Yuzuru's return from Barcelona following his GPF victory in December 2014.

     

    The following is a video of TV commentators discussing Yuzuru's response to that question. Immediately after the video clip of the question and answer exchange, the male commentator stated (regarding Yuzuru's answer): "100 points" (meaning perfect answer). They were all impressed and amazed by Yuzuru's maturity at only 20 years of age.

     

    The first lady to comment in response to a question from the male commentator said that her son had watched the Grand Prix Final and wanted to be like Yuzuru Hanyu. Then she went on to say, with a straight face, that after hearing Yuzuru's (mature, intelligent) comments, it would be too much to expect her son to be like Yuzu! To this, the male and female commentators replied that she should heed Yuzuru's advice to look for (and encourage) the good parts in her son.

     

    The main commentator noted that Yuzuru had suffered a big injury in the Cup of China, struggled at the NHK Trophy and still rebounded to get a consecutive win at the GPF. They said that he is a spectacular athlete, that it was hard to believe that he is only 20 years of age and wondered how far he is going to go.

     

     

    For those who are going to Cup of China, I believe there is a pre-sale of tickets happening tomorrow.

    Not sure if it is restricted to certain clubs or groups however and if you need to register (can't completely translate the tweet below),
