Lol, if anyone had any doubts on where does Yuzuru's steel-like self criticism comes from... of course, if he thinks about all the people who sponsor him and give him money, all the people who work for him, directly and indirectly, the people close to him that worry for him... that kind of responsability is hard to carry. (don't take this the wrong way - I'm not judging Yumi at all but reading something like that, it does sound pretty harsh - but then again, Japanese culture is particular exactly for things like these, very different from my own culture. So I'm not gonna comment any further)

I love voting following my intuition. Also, voting for what I want versus what I think might happen. Last round I voted Liza against Rika but I did prefer Rika to win, so I won't do the mistake again.

Dark doesn't necessarily means evil. Every time I see Yuzuru skate, I want to fight alongside him, and I don't feel like he is destructing: he is creating. We joke around on his murderface, but I actually don't believe his performances of Origin were giving off demonic vibes. He skates strongly, softly, surely. There is no skater that's more self aware than him, and his idea of skating is unique and by now everybody knows it in the skating world. Origin gives off these kind of vibes to me. Origin is a part of Yuzuru's identity, his energy, his never ending motivation. It's a positive strenght, to me. The Yang more than the ying, which is more often portrayed by him.

Yelp, I somehow think the Universe will make me bomb NHK since I actually got a high score at Helsinki... (it will be very interesting to see wheather Tom Z's crusade against his poor student's UR will have some effect on his scores/calls or not...)

Could you give us some examples? In general, Yuzu's Skating Skills and Transitions have always been outstanding, probably since his second Senior season. Regarding IN, PE and CO it's a little subjective but even there, since 2012 he was talented in that sense. Only in messy programs he gave up some of that, but I have never seen a messy program from Yuzuru that had candy PCS.

Mr. Enrique's fancam of Yuzu's SP I really appreciate this guy, you can see from his place in the Arena he's not really in the best seats, probably more on the cheapest ones, but he still goes to so many comps, he has to be truly devoted to the sport (and to the King, obs).

That statement is just meaningless. First, he is a person, just like other actors, or singers, or performers are. And human beings have the right to have privacy, and their own space. It's obvious how chasing someone you don't personally know (as much as chasing someone you do know) is wrong and it violates basic human rights. Because it is not particularily violent, of course, it's not like people should get arrested. But it's a way to be violent, nontheless. It's physical violence because it literally feels like the poor guys has no room to breathe, and it's phsychological violence because what would happen if he actually stopped? And, say, started signing some autographs? He would never get out of there. But he is an athlete, so these things really are not his duty. He deserves freedom to concentrate, to be relaxed, to be focused. We are lucky because he is able to block out whatever upsets him, and take energy from the human support he gets, even when it gets overboard. Yuzu is very wise, so I wouldn't expect anything different from him. Doesn't make chasing him any less crazy and sick.

Well I know that he has to charge a lot more and takes off from both feet (more or less), but I was more looking at how balanced his body is. Like, his shoulders and hips, how they follow the direction of the free leg, and how soft his knees are when he jumps.

Ah, yeah I do have problems with my free leg. I cannot keep it behind my body at all, it stays in front. I feel like my body is stuck hehehe. I wish my coach would just take me and make me feel the points where my body is tangled up. She is great, but she has to follow more people of different levels. The people in my class are already trying doubles, and I'm barely learning singles! In any case, I will definitely make some videos next time so I can show you and maybe you people can correct me a little bit c: But the thing about squeezing something with your thighs sounds legit! I will try to remember it. And vertical push, too. Btw I started learning Salchow last lesson! I was so happy about it I was focused on it for a solid 40 minutes. My right foot was killing me (I jump clockwise). Also, to prepare for it the teacher made me do only three turns for an hour. But I can say that I can almost do them decently now! The greatest difficulty for me is stopping the rotation, which has to do with my upper body posture I believe. But I am so happy I officially learned a jump that I can do in a competition. I want to train it hard so that I can jump it beautifully by Christmas. I'll try and record something next weekend. This weekend the ice rink is off-limits because of concert on monday.

What said above, also the tempo of the StSeq has changed. It is at least 3-4 seconds shorter.

Now I'm panicking I will really have to follow the practices and the competition via phone streaming while going around doing stuff
