  1. I don't think Yuzuru is doing Nationals. But they are using him to get tickets before he withdraws me thinks.
  2. Wait, is Yuzu's birthday an excuse to eat cake today? My mind says yes
  3. HAPPY BIRTHDAY YUZURU I LOVE YOU YOU ARE SO COOL
  4. I fully expected this so now I will focus all my energy to have a chance to see him at Worlds in Saitama. I am sure he will do his best to compete and win there.
  5. Always great to have such a supportive coaching team. Yuzuru is pretty lucky, TCC knows what they're doing.
  6. It was the knee who hurt a little, the ankle didn't get stressed in any way actually! But the pain is completely gone because I rested and didn't skate since then c: but now I will be a little more careful about my form in the Salchow.
  7. Just about. But my coach said they were not tied enough. I have some troubles with foot pain so that's also why I am wary about tieying them properly, but if this is the result, I'll just endure the pain xD
  8. The other day I had a bad fall trying the Salchow, twisted my ankle and to save my ankle my knee twisted inwards and I fell to the side. It was really painful on the spot, but the pain faded after 3 days! Got scared tho, heh.
  9. Before the injury, he said he was gonna restart training 4A after Nationals... if you ask me, he will skip both GPF and Nationals, and come back for Worlds with the 4A. Just wild guess.
  10. I want to be a little kid... but also I'm glad we are close in age... mmmmmhhhh
  11. He did the same thing in Helsinki 2017 FS and Origin in Helsinki 2018...
  12. Well this goes to show we all have different standards of what is okay and what is not okay. I think filming him while you are meeting him up close is way more normal (also because he is very much used to it, and isn't doing anything particularily private) than taking a photo of a group of people bowing down on the ground in front of his photo. I don't like that photo - not twisting it in any way, but I cannot even joke about worshipping a person like that. Sorry I don't find it funny.
  13. hahahahah it's nice to hear someone's opinion that is not used to the specific terms and meanings that FS has! They just see beauty and elegance, they see someone dancing on skates, so that someone is a ballet dancer! (I'd say also a little detail is that in Italy 'ballerino' means both ballet dancer and just dancer in general, be it modern or hip hop)
  14. The bonus questions kinda saved me from complete destruction. I went back to my standard, ever so constant 17 I kinda regret putting Jason in 3rd for bronze, but I want to believe in him and I want him to do well... his start of the season wasn't the greatest.
  15. Omg sorry for changing the topic but I had to share this little snippet of my morning! I was waiting the bus with two aunties and one of them noticed my skating jacket and asked me if I was an athlete. I said I just began and the other lady said she watches figure skating on sky these days, and she saw a 'ballet dancer' (she used these words) from Japan who was especially beautiful, but unfortunately he fell, "but he still won the competition!!". As my eyes were shining I told her he is my favourite skater and double Olympic champion. I'm so amazed that even in Italy Yuzuru is reaching many people, I live in quite the suburban neighborhood, so I never expected this to happen. This is also the reason why we complain that Rai doesn't broadcast FS enough. FS is beautiful, it's easy for people to become passionate about it watching it on tv, but they only broadcast one competition in 4 and they do it in weird schedules.
  16. I wish I had a father like P. He looks genuinely affectionate all the time with his son, even when he pushes him beyond his limits, physically and mentally, and that can be tiring. I saw the video of him teaching his son to do the splits. The boy was crying a little for the pain, but it only lasted a couple of seconds, and then Plushy hugged him and kissed him sincerely. I don't remember any exchange like that in my life. I guess that it's subjective, what kind of vibes does Plushy give off. It's also cultural differences. But I think that if some parts of his character were fake in any way, Yuzuru would not have chosen him as an idol and a guide for his development.
  17. *rolls away laughing forever* Listen! He's innocent, look at his mushroom hair! Look at his nose! (sorry, I have a childish attachment to this man since he's the only other skater besides Yuzu that I took an interest in... when I was 11), no but really, I'm sure he didn't understand right because maybe he doesn't read every interview Yuzuru gives, and maybe Yuzuru didn't spell it clearly enough for him that he took part of his music to make a tribute to HIM and not the music itself or the character behind Plushy's program. We were confused about the meaning of the program as well before we got all nerdy and discussed it here for pages on end!
  18. OT, thank you so much, I know what to do for the rest of the night
  19. OMG I'M CHOKING THE FIRST GIF (Also who's that Maradona in the last one omg he's so good)
  20. Mmh, I didn't read the article and I'm sure Jack must have expressed himself in the worst of fashion. In any case, I can see people trying to explain (and sometimes fail) just what is so heroic and right and beautiful about Yuzuru. It's quite a task!
  21. This is very talked about in football. All of the football fans I know (consider 98% of my country's population) say that the sport has changed - that the games were different 20-30 years ago because the whistle wasn't blown every 5 seconds for a foul or a fall or a fight between two or more players. I agree, the games did change. But I'd argue that it isn't because masculinity is lost, but because a lot of things have been lost, among which is definitely fairness and no-politics during the game. Instead of committing to be the best player you can be, you will take advantage of every possible time it seems like someone did you wrong. So I understand why coaches and sportsmen will look at Yuzuru and find a quality that is very lacking nowadays in other sports (or even the same sport lol). It's playing fair. Yuzuru plays fair.
  22. Yes, I guessed that you would, poor us! Yuzuru is always 100% unpredictable... in the good times and the bad.
  23. If it wasn't for Yuzu... I wouldn't be the person I am today. I owe everything to him and yet I owe him nothing.
