  1. It's like Yuzuru has inadvertedly but kind of willingly "monopolized" the entire figure skating business. I am realizing it more and more every day.
  2. Oh noes! But she also knows I am a big Yuzuru fan... oh well, if it comes to that, I will accept to work with Japanese ladies. But I will absolutely take time off during Men's short and Free, idgaf.
  3. I'm kinda lucky because I just became friends with a person who was vice-organizer in Milan and I can bet my ass she will be there for Turin as well. We go to skating classes together
  4. If I know anything via my Italian skating fb group I will link it here immediately! Btw, for the satellites who followed my mission to become voluntary for Milan and Saitama (this one failed, but I still got a ticket), get ready for me becoming a voluntary in Turin This time though I'm not sure I should tell them I speak Japanese lol. They will definitely put me to interact with enthusiastic and kinda grumpy Japanese ladies all day every day. Re: Family's reunion such beauty cannot be fully described
  5. Woah lucky page, still a spot to steal a lil bit of luck?
  6. Anna and Luca's number was amazing 😍 I hope I can meet them again soon... some of us even took private lessons with them. I couldn't both because expensive af and because I thought it would be a waste for them for what I can do now xD which is nothing much.
  7. Oooh yeah that sounds like my problem allright! And I've heard the hook thing about the Salchow so next time I should really try and search for it. And hahahah watching your rinkmate jump sounds hilarious and yes I asked my coach "why do I land off-axis and fall?" and she answered "because you take off off-axis. You land the same way you jump". It sounds like a very useful thing to remember.
  8. Oh no, I hope it's not anything too serious I've been having pains during and after skating myself... I think I broke my hips while doing an inside SE without the proper warmup first.
  9. Actually it was a little underwhelming... I didn't meet with Luca or Matteo or Anna, because there wasn't even a proper gala at the end with all the athletes on the ice - and during our number, I was with zero warm up, I was nervous, and couldn't manage for the life of me to jump. So I didn't xDDDD Ah the nerves! But now I know how athletes feel when they pop.
  10. I would say you are correct in part. When it becomes a full-on disorder it affects your daily life, your relationship with everyone close to you, your mood, everything depends on your weight and what you eat. Sometimes it's more hidden though, and in those cases it is usually coupled with other disorders (depression, isolation, dissociation etc etc). I've had a friend who recovered from bulimia after thinking that she would die from it. Her case was a standard, very visible case of ED. What was not visible, however, was that both her mother and her father displayed heavy symptoms of ED, although they were perfectly functional in their daily lives - they went to work, they paid the bills, they slept at night, and so on. But the father would regularily puke after eating if he felt like it, the mother was aware of it, and the mother would skip random meals, and make her daughter feel guilty for eating instead. So actually, I think one can go and be successfull and perform well and win in a sport even if they have an ED. That's the big illusion of ED, especially Anorexia - you think you are in control. You are in total control of yourself, until you reach the breaking point - and then you realize that it's the disease that's controlling you. So actually, I think there are plenty of athletes of all sports who suffer from ED, but they don't know it yet. Or they pretend they don't know. And they're just waiting to reach their breaking point.
  11. So basically I continued to mess up the single Salchow because I prerotated too little. Is that a thing? Also a teammate told me that I have to spring the jump up with my takeoff leg, instead both with Salchow and Waltz I kick the free leg too much and it looks ugly khkhkh. Oh well I get so little jump training time per week honestly, I'm not even sure if they're teaching me the right technique :c I wanna jump moreeeeeeee
  12. Thanks made my post-Christmas much much better
  13. Power... he sure is powerful... powerful mr. Hanyu. Merry Christmas to you
  14. omg the snow on the page. I hate Christmas but it's soooo cuteee thank you admins!!
  15. By the way guys tomorrow I'm doing my first Ice show for Christmas! We will be skating together with Luca Lanotte, Anna Cappellini, Matteo Rizzo and Lucrezia Beccari! I am so excited to meet again Luca (marry me you sweet eyed prince) and to meet with Matteo for the first time. I saw him up close at Worlds last year and he looks fiiiiine. Also now I really want him to land a 4T right in front of me, lol. Of course they will skate their EX and we will skate a small group thing, it will probably suck and I will probably trip and fall before doing my Waltz jump lol. But I cannot wait!!
  16. Omg such brightness in such wintery gloomy days
  17. I am satisfied with my results!! Yay! A bit of bad luck in some cases, and good luck in some others... overall, such a hard sport to predict lol!
  18. Yuzu... if I go to another Worlds without you... you will have to repay me with at least one hot chocolate Ghana made specifically for me. Just sayin.
  19. Honestly, even if it was a love hotel. Who cares? It's private business. They're not politicians, I don't get why their private life should be topic for discussion. I bet the people who are criticizing them the most are exactly the people who enjoy the fact that Yuzuru's name is involved. Meaning: I wouldn't discuss it anymore tbh.
  20. Ah, so that's why I prefer jumps to anything else and they're actually the thing that I learn the fastest... I have no self-preservation instincts whatsoever.
