The mention of Patrick (Chan, I suppose) and of the quad Lutz makes me think this interview dates back to the beginning of last Olympic season. It would be one of the earlier mentions of his attempts at 4A.
-
We all know the effects on Brian Orser's mane (that was).

La reclama de Yuzuru Hanyu "Gum for the Game" ha sido subtitulada en español. Es solo la reclama, el vídeo "detrás de la escena" no parece haberlo sido aún.

A madman in a sense : his audacity looks crazy. But I am sure he knows perfectly what he's doing. The only thing is, I don't want him to really ruin his health (if his will goes there) just for giving us even greater skating. But this is just my wish as a fanyu, of course. I am not him. And I trust him even more than his coaches, anyway. At least now. I think he may have been convinced not to try 4A at GPF had a coach been there, but his attempts were certainly very well weighted/risk assessed and to a purpose (or more).

I see somebody have already translated in the comments. There are 30k+ subscribers!

It's easy : plants tend to remember waterings, don't they? Particularly when they are so memorable. For a skating-less season, of course.
-
Oh, thank you so much! I had seen the videos in this thread though (months ago) but didn't remember it. I should have checked.
-
If I remember well, Brian Orser said it himself in an interview last month. But it had long been an unconfirmed rumour, indeed. I think it was in this interview : @LadyLou The Reddit message seem to imply it is recent, but I too find him "looking young". He did so many commercials and appearances for blood donation!

He went back to Sendai, self-confined during twoo weeks, then could probably skate about two weeks until his rink closed, and it reopened after about two more weeks. Now he is coached "online" by Team Orser. He sent five times videos : on March 11th, via Jason Brown's Twitter : On May 6th, via JSF's Twitter, he gave us the beginning movements of each of his programs since March 11th, 2011 : On July 6th? he sent a video, on request of ISU, "promoting" their "fakewards" (which are a story alone, I don't think I would be able to sum it up). He looked like an Hostage. I don't find it. Then, unexpectedly he was "awarded" (rather, ISU self-awarded his popularity) the MVS fakeward, and was very gracious. This one, I don't remember the date : But two more videos of his were released. First, bows to a nonexistent attendance at Kelowna during practice, with a nice message, filmed by On Ice Perspectives. Second, a commercial for Lotte gums, which should have been aired for the opening of Tokyo Games. A behind-the-stage video was also released. We are well-watered cacti. Yet, always thirsty. (Are we really cacti after all?) EDIT : I suppressed the Red Cross CM, which was not recent. Thank you @Fay and @sweetwater !

I have never believed anything TSL said. This being said, they may "have orchestrated" something against her, but I tend to see Eteri Tutberidze as simply a rather resentful person (because she invests herself so much and doesn't have that function "OK, it's finished", a priori). As much as I could see, this is how she behaved towards Evgenia Medvedeva. Their expression "Medvedeva style" is sheer "TSL style" and show how unreliable they are.
-
I tend to think not, if what I read is true (sponsors wanting people to use only their outfit, etc) : she may have herself rejected proposals which Alexandra Trusova may have accepted (Alina Zagitova is in another category, because she's Olympic champion). I have read somewhere, that maybe Yuzuru Hanyu didn't want a sports brand as a sponsor because he wanted to be free to have UA top with another brand training pants. I have no idea as to the influence of her declaration about retiring after OG upon sponsors. Nathan Chen is exactly in the same situation, I'd even say he's more likely to stop after Beijing than Alena Kostornaia, the poor guy is worn out; while if successful, Alena Kostornaia may want to continue a bit. In France we had Alain Calmat, Gold at Grenoble (1968) if I remember well, who became MD, it took him more years but he did it. Plus, why being a medical student after a successful skating career would deter a sponsor? It makes a nice narrative, she would be in no way less beautiful and fit... Edit : and she has an agent, so I tend to think it has nothing to do with her coaching team.

I have seen Sergei Rozanov many times with junior skaters, or during Russian championships, if I remember well. I thought he was now as well known as other coaches of the team. Plus, Team Tutberidze coaches who go abroad agree to count it as holiday, she said; I would understand very well that not all coaches are ready for such a sacrifice. Sergei Dudakov has a family.

Are they easy to clean?
-
Maybe because it was not a real, positive request, rather an occasional voicing of exasperation without really meaning it? Anyway he doesn't have an easy task because when Eteri Tutberidze feels betrayed, she seems not to control herself and he must feel the need of evening things. Even for May, I am still awaiting more reliable information that it was really decided back in May, not just contemplated. After all, neither him nor Eteri Tutberidze were there.

I had the same thought. It may be a species which holds well during some time? Or they harvested flowers which were exactly at the same stage of maturity, just before turning into seeds? Or this is not a photo?

And this one, an imaginary behind-the-stage at the Fakewards :

Is this new? Commercial for Japanese Red Cross (blood donation) :
-
No, I really don't want to know what that guy says, sorry. I found interesting comments on Reddit too. I don't say what EGT wrote is impossible, but it is rather inconsistent. Back in May, everybody was confined, nobody skated. If Alena Kostornaia had already demanded (if she ever did) not to skate with some other skaters, it was before the confinement, so how is it that she went back to skate in Novogorsk? I understand Alexandra Trusova was a student at Sambo 70 (vocational) school, so by announcing the split in May she lost her last weeks because she was expelled from this school. Yet she went on. Alena Kostornaia doesn't even have this problem because she never left her (normal) school, though she has most of her classes online or via tutors. She is likely to go on like before. And if she demanded not to share ice with some skaters in Novogorsk, then did she really plot leaving back in May? I don't really buy this story of plotting in May. Someone on Reddit suggested she may have had it as a plan B in case things went wrong with Team Tutberidze, this I would buy it more. Like, being approached (I guess all TT elite skaters have been approached) and saying she's staying at Sambo at the moment, but not slamming the door. Plus, she grew again during the confinement. This may be why she didn't manage to get her 3A back easily, she may have found she didn't get the attention she wished? The team coaches may have been overwhelmed with so many students to get back in shape and one coach missing, while she certainly had reports from Plushenko's training camp, of more individual attention. After all Evgeni Plushenko himself has no show this summer to get him away, him + Sergei Rozanov must do good work. And Eteri Tutberidze may have tried with her what had succeeded so well with Alina Zagitova : asking her to go, knowing she would come back soon. Except that it didn't go as expected. I didn't see mentioned the geographical problem. She lives really very far away from Khrustalny and has 3-4h total commuting every day, which must be quite taxing (and I don't know if you have tried Moscow metro, beautiful, safe and efficient but seriously shaking). Do you know where Angels of Plushenko train? Maybe closer? Eventually, there is the boarding factor. Because at Novogorsk skaters are boarding, and, with CoViD, confined. This may have exacerbated any resentment between skaters, and between skaters and coaches (and between coaches). Anyway, I really don't like how Eteri Tutberidze speaks of her former students. When it is somebody else (sister or "minor coach"), OK, but here it was her own account, wasn't it? There is no doubt as who wrote it? It shed a bad light on her. Edit : also, is there a time limit to switch coaches, in Russia or by ISU rules, as seems implied in some comments?
-
Yes he can but he's no more reliable than the others.
-
If the stories of not wanting to share the ice and plotting the move since May are true, really I can't believe it from her. Look at all her messages about Eteri Tutberidze these last months. And I would like to comfort Alina Zagitova, I hope Alena Kostornaia did all what she could to alleviate the shock. I had understood her recovery after the confinement didn't go as expected, it may be a motive of exasperation on both sides (which would relieve me on a moral point of view, though I know we live in a hard world). All who don't like Daniil Gleichengauz's choreos will be pleased by the news, and must believe she will have better choreos now. I wouldn't vouch for it. Where is she supposed to train right now?

A visit of TCC just before last Olympic season. Since then, the Olympic medallists wall must have changed.

I had already seen the lipsyncs of the beginning of the video, but neither the necktie anectote, nor the tribute to Machida Tatsuki (I should watch more of his programs by the way, I loved those I saw) at the end. So lovable! Edit : sorry, I forgot the link!

Yuzuru Hanyu's expression in the third photo!

I agree. I read no message saying that Gilles Beyer was barred from adhering again, and in case he would, from coaching again. Implying they expect a formal complaint from the parents of the victims in the Ciprès case, while they are American living in the US, sounds purposely dismissive, unless they would have taken steps to contact them, explain them how sanctions work in the French federation, and affording them every facility to lodge such a complaint. If they had taken these steps, she would certainly have said it. I think though, all the guilt may not come from her. I expected much from Roxana Maracineanu, French sports minister since 2018. In France a sports minister can do a lot. Proof of it in the Djamel Bouras case. He was a judoka, OGM, tested positive to steroids while he was trying to lose weight, not to gain, because he was on the verge of getting to a weight category where he was unlikely to win. He was clearly innocent (it was later found that steroids are stored in fat and released in urine when one try to lose weight : he had probably had steroids in his teenage, either knowingly or unknowingly, and had never lost weight since) and French fed was reluctant to inflict a severe sanction. The then sports minister, Marie-George Buffet, who was not from the president and the prime minister party, managed to completely overthrow the fed to get it dominated by people of her own party, dragged his name through the mud, and he could never recover, but she didn't mind. So, I would say, Roxana Maracineanu can impose a general cleaning of FFSG. And there is much more at stake than one athlete having maybe taken steroids. Why doesn't she? Is she preparing something? I hope so. She was maintained as a minister through the last changes. But I feel really impatient. I hope this is not political. I am only aiming at informing of what can be done in France.

I don't remember other fanart about the Notre-Dame program? This one is beautiful (more than the music and the choreo) and as a French, I appreciate the rosace...
