Si j'avais pu j'y serais allée!

Quite impressive. About waiting coming out of the venue, this is something accepted and even welcomed by artists (at least in classical music, ballet, drama, in Western Europe), where they cannot attend their fans in their dressing room. I remember Bolshoi principal dancer Denis Rodkin relating how grateful he had been of this Japanese fan awaiting him (among many others) out of the venue with Japanese beer, an evening when this was just what he longed for during a tour. Of course, with more information one can understand that Yuzuru Hanyu's popularity is such, that such habit would not make friendly gatherings of dozens of people, rather thousands and unmanageable. So, now I am warned that it is not the case with athletes, but had I not known the Planet, I may have gone and see him skate, and awaited to congratulate him out of the venue. Yuzuru Hanyu is both an athlete and a great artist, so he must attract both fans of sports and fans of arts, the latter maybe not aware of sport championship manners. Plus fans of extraordinary, admirable people.

2020/2021 Season Program Announcements

Can Parisienne Walkways be called Yuzuru Hanyu's shirt program? (Sorry, it is very weak but I couldn't resist.) -
Has this interview of Jason Brown's been posted? He tells what it is like to work with Yuzuru Hanyu.

I don't skate at all but I am so impressed by how Yuzuru Hanyu can have both a great flexibility with an insane turnout, and his strength, his explosiveness in the jumps...

Alina Zagitova sat in Biology, her last exam in the Unified State Exam, on Monday. If I understand well, the results are to be announced on Friday. And seeing this video of hers, with Daniil Gleichengauz dancing pairs with Masaru, made me think we may have a new episode of the Soap Opera, with Pooh-San envious of Masaru's skating with Daniil Gleichengauz, and wanting Yuzuru-kun to skate with him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCo-mGNLQ14

Thank you! I hadn't noticed how aristocratic Kaori Sakamoto was when speaking and laughing. Has this 3A + eu + 3S after a rocker of Rika Kihira's been posted? I don't even know if it is recent.

I agree. Given the level of credibility of the accusation, either they searched actively evidence and found it and held a judgement, or they waited and explained they didn't have hard proof enough yet to expel him definitely and what steps were being taken. But that "we don't have proof" is just one more evidence that nothing have changed after Gailhaguet's departure, "his creatures" are still in power. And Gilles Beyer! Because he didn't "just" send improper photos after being asked to by underage girls (and where is the enquiry about the victims' coach, who told them to ask for the pics?) How his victims must be feeling now?

Junior Skaters of 2020/21 Season

I hope we will have videos though! -
Thank you for the info on the likeliness. As to aerosols in the atmosphere, new research try to quantify and this one is certainly interesting, but the principles are already known. My husband explained me how the air convection worked in a skating rink/arena (I wrote it in General Yuzuru Chat if I remember well), and that it needed a ceiling "wall"/obstacle to protect athletes from receiving the attendance' aerosols when at the centre of the rink where they would concentrate otherwise. But with this caveat, usually the volume of air is huge in an arena, it circulates well, and if it is not infectious at the beginning of the session, it is not very far from open air gathering. Masks, even fabric ones (well, maybe not that much, those single-layered jersey ones, but still), do suppress the big drops we send on surfaces, and diminish the number of very small ones, those that don't fall but stay in the air and can contaminate by inhalation, depending on people' condition and contaminated aerosol density. This being said, screaming is clearly a factor of risk and should be forbidden unless very high safety is achieved otherwise, because so many aerosols go out of the mask with the difference in pressure. This is why I suggested humming instead. And all need careful calculation. I should like so much Skate Canada should have learnt from the Worlds saga, and be able to ask knowledgeable people or organisations to do it, and advise such or such venue, measures... or an attendance-free competition. I hope we will do well in Grenoble. The skating rink there depends on the city's "communauté de communes" (association of towns of the urban area), whose president is a chemistry professor (who can take a Gold plastic medal for a Bronze, I know this is not a very good beginning ), I hope they will do things well.

One cannot be weary of Tchaikovsky. He is after Chopin and Mozart but really just after. We can rely on Yuzuru Hanyu to have beautiful interpretation and cut of the music he may chose (not like that adaptation of Scriabin when he was younger) and to help putting on a beautiful choreo, and to skate it as it deserves. And Tchaikovsky didn't write only ballet music, by the way. In 2013-2014, Maxim Kovtun dared the first piano concerto, I am sure Yuzuru Hanyu would grace any such masterpiece. In ballet, choreographer Roland Petit (whose widow, Zizi Jeanmaire, passed away a few days ago) chose his Pathetic Symphony for his ballet The Queen of Spades.

Unfortunately the link doesn't work anymore. EDIT : it does, the strange thing was just that I have the grey screen with the white arrow in the middle, like when the video has been suppressed. Thank you @Paskud ! -
I have also the impression he will give us two new programs (I say give, because there will be at least Japanese Nationals, won't there? so we will be able to watch them.) I wouldn't like Notte Stellata to be made into a short program though, because its "slow rhythm" (I should rather say "appearance of slowness") would be lost.

Not the same video, but a fancam of the same event, starting around 4:20 : By the way, welcome on Planet Hanyu! (Though I am rather a newcomer too.)

Sorry, I was not even thinking about Australian health services and wished in no way to cast any dirt on anybody.

This is why I wondered if it had been her choice, or if she had been forced to leave Australia. (I don't have a deep knowledge, I just happened to consider a three-year expat there a few years ago, and was surprised by the difference in policies, with France for instance, and her diagnosis of a condition reminded it me).

I still haven't. Yet I don't have any problem with blood, I know he has more or less recovered... but I can't watch his serious falls (this one and Cup of Russia 2017). Discovering Yuzuru Hanyu with such a fall must have been traumatic.
-
I understood there was help, but she must have missed the steps since she was in Australia, and building her life there. I don't know how it worked for her but I heard Australia could be quite harsh with non-national residents who fall ill, like her.

Two days I don't have enough connection to send it... When I saw the accusation of "torture", I thought : don't pretend you wouldn't like your own head to be at the place of Pooh-San's. Well, YuzuponBitch admitted it minutes only after sending the video, in an answer to Hourz 17. By the way, thank you @yuzuponbitch !

[admin edit: getting too political]

What I noted, is that their 150,000 "lives" include all views in the 24h. If they don't want to tell us what was really watched live, it's an admission that the numbers were very low, and that only the news of MVS fakeward going unexpectedly to Yuzuru Hanyu could attract viewers.
