mmmmffff... Il y a des gens qui veulent favoriser Shoma, d'autres qui veulent favoriser Yuzu, je ne suis pas super fana du discours complotiste qu'on entend en ce moment - oui Shoma a été beaucoup surnoté la saison passée, mais bon, ça ne veut pas pour autant dire Yuzuru soit devenu un indésirable... Nathan et Javi aussi sont surnotés. Enfin bref, j'avais lu sur GS que le combo Skate Canada + TdF + GPF à Nagoya était idéal pour Yuzuru niveau dates, et en plus ça lui ferait un GP par continent, quoi de mieux pour contenter les fans du monde entier :). Mais ça ne se fera que s'il laisse le NHK à Shoma - ce qui ne serait pas si absurde que ça, vu que Shoma est le champion de Japon. (ça fera râler dans les chaumières et hurler au complot, par contre XD) Si Yuzu a le NHK, alors Skate Canada sera un peu trop proche en dates... ça le ferait aller à la coupe de Russie à la place (pour dire bonjour à Zhenia ? XD). Mais est-ce que Yuzu est prêt à rater une opportunité d'avoir enfin sa médaille d'or à Skate Canada ? Mystère... XD On sera fixé dans un peu plus d'un mois... Pour info, les dates c'est : - coupe de Russie (Rostelecom cup) : 19-22 octobre - Skate Canada : 26-29 octobre - Cup of China : 2-5 novembre - NHK Trophy : 9-12 novembre - Trophée de France : 16-19 novembre - Skate America : 24-26 novembre - Finale du Grand prix : 7-10 décembre

mmm... I'm pretty sure Shoma has killer instincts almost as much as Yuzu. don't trust those puppy eyes :) I'd say Yuzu > Shoma > Nathan > Patrick > Javi > Boyang :)

Pour le top 3 a priori c'est un mix entre les souhaits des patineurs et les négociations entre fédérations - ils essaient de faire en sorte qu'ils ne se croisent pas avant la finale, donc chacun écope de 2 GP différents. De manière générale je pense que, au moins pour le top 6, les souhaits des patineurs sont pris en compte. Du coup la grande question cette année est, qui de Yuzu ou Shoma ira au NHK Trophy ? En tous cas, c'est clairement Boyang qui ira à la cup of China. Si c'est Shoma qui va au NHK, alors c'est pas improbable du tout que Yuzu aille au TdF, niveau dates c'est bien placé.

Hi ! Thanks again for this amazing site. There's something bothering me (a very little bit) : I love translations, of programs but also interviews, news, programs about Yuzu. There are many on this site, on tumblr, on twitter, on facebook, on youtube, allover on the internet, but it's hard to find the precise translation you're looking for (except for programs commentary thanks to Gladi's mighty google doc). Moreover, some translations remain unnoticed. For instance, there's this amazing translation on the forum about the famous "pooh interview" (december 2015), which was made two weeks ago, but I'm pretty sure almost nobody here has seen it because it's in a part of the forum where not many people go (there's no "like" on it, and only a few reactions). That's a pity... So I was wondering : - perhaps we could do a pinned post with tables, similar to the "Yururu at one glance", where we could find links to the videos or articles, and then links to their translations, chronologically ? I can try to help if needed, or even try to do it myself if you want (I'd still need help). - Perhaps we could advertise new translations on the "general Yuzu chat" to give them a wider audience ?

Yes ! I also remember that he said in an interview that if he had to play kabuki, he would be the onnagata (a man playing a female roles), and not the bold, masculine actor. ... But on the other hand, he also said in his long interview with Kenji that he had a complex about his girlish face, so... That being said, in mangas and animes, especially in shojos (but not only) the most beautiful guys have almost always a delicate, feminine face and a graceful, long and slender body... Nishikori is cute, objectively. There are many forms of beauty, and all kinds of tastes, you don't have to decide which kind is better than another, and that's a good thing ! I need to know more about people's personality to find them attractive. But based on looks alone, yeah, I can totally see the appeal for Nishikori.

I can see why you could call Yuzu's style "feminine" : his flexibility and delicate grace, the Biellman, the Ina Bauer, some of his costumes... yes there is something "feminine" in his skating. As long as it's not meant as something bad, it's okay for me. That's why I don't find Trankhov's comment offensive - of course he comes from a macho society (and, I mean, have you seen Trankov with all his manly manly physique ?) and he likes Javi's style better - but he doesn't despise the other skaters in this interview, he just says he likes Javi's masculine style better. In fact, at another point in the same interview, he says watching Yuzu practicing in ice shows is super impressive and that it's a major appeal for participating in ice shows in Japan. The problem is for people implying that, for a man, feminine = bad, masculine = good. THAT is wrong. (and, I've said it several time, but for me Yuzu is more androgynous, and it's one of the many reasons I find him fascinating - that, and the fact that he seems to assume it 100 % when he's on the ice in his R&J 2 frills XD) Edit : Ah, @wombat-poodle had said the same, and better, before me :)

ça pourrait être le palais au palais des sports aussi... Pas Nathan ou Patrick ? J'avoue que je serais curieuse de les voir en vrai puisqu'apparemment l'impression qu'ils dégagent est très différente par rapport aux vidéos. Je crois que je serai sincèrement aux anges quels que soient les membres du top 6 présent (et je serais au paradis s'il y avait Yuzu, bien sûr). Don't pay attention... these "confessions" are the best way some "brave" people have found to bash skaters (not just Yuzu) anonymously. All you can do is having fun reading the comments, they're usually worth it :)

I didn't know about Yuzu attending P/C's practice in Helsinki ! The fact that my favourite skater may be a fan of my favourite ice dance pair makes me sooo happy, thank you for this vid ! :) I absolutely love their style - and yes, them and Yuzu have this kind of surreal fluidity in common, and also something almost poetic in their free skates.

Ben disons que l'année dernière, entre le trophée de France et le GPF à Marseille, la fédération française de patinage artistique ne s'est pas vraiment taillé une bonne réputation à l'international... Pour le TdF je ne connais pas les détails (j'ai commencé à m'intéresser au patinage juste avant le NHK trophy cette année), j'ai juste entendu dire que c'était la cata. J'imagine que c'était similaire au GPF... Pour le GPF, il n'y avait pas de drapeaux à la remise de médailles, les médailles étaient en plastoc, le podium était brinqueballant (et c'était le même qu'à Nice en 2012 !), le site internet tellement mauvais (et uniquement en français !) que les gradins étaient à moitié vides parce que ça avait été trop compliqué de réserver les billets à l'international. Les gens se sont aussi plaints de l'inconfort des sièges (sans dossier !), les athlètes ont apparemment dû se partager des chambres dans un hôtel pas terrible et loin de la patinoire pendant que les officiels et les juges avaient droit à un 5 étoiles... La grande classe, quoi :)
