I am. And this will all happen in the wedding plans thread. I'm just collecting the bits right now, on Tuesday the 7 days is up, and then 2nd phase of plans will begin, where we can decide about the cake, music, when we're going to actually do this, etc. Patience

Oh it's a dangerous one all right and you just know he'll go for it anyway. But no, I don't expect it in any way this season, it's just that I find the idea of all of that hilarious and had to share :grin:

I have to say there is a tiny part of me that wants this simply because I would laugh myself out of this Galaxy due to all the crying that would happen if he landed a 4A in the Olympics and won. It would be glorious! No, actually scratch that. I would laugh myself out of this Universe.

One of the things about Mirai's 4CC appearances is that they are not as high pressure situations as say US Nats. Look at where she was this year, she was in a good place post SP. I really think she has the goods, it's her head that is making it difficult so if she manages to find a way to work with that (it's purely individual, what works for one person, won't work for another) then I think she has a real shot. Who knows, the 3A if it starts working may give her that confidence boost.

Uh, I honestly don't remember now how it went chronologically but I've seen some rotated ones from her and some URs. Getting it out there as soon as possible is good, so even if she didn't make it during the first small competition, it's practice and under relaxed conditions. She does have a head problem that makes her go tight, so I think going for these where the stakes are lesser might help. Fingers crossed!

No worries, you'll catch up really quickly with the rate those multiply. Scheduled to do Radionova's LP May 2-7. Oooh thanks. I wonder if they might start working from Mon then. Also this may easily be one of the things that halted him in joining FaOI, at least the first dates.

Definitely. And why I'm hoping Wakaba is going to start getting that 3A out. I have not given up on her grabbing a spot and getting that 3A could be a huge part of it, even if she falls. A 2A with a +2 GOEs is 4.3 so yes. Plus of course, there is the overall impression of bonus of an attempted, rotated 3A, if the rest of the program holds. It's a boost. Mirai has a head problem. She gets nervous, then tight, then oops but I think her 3A work may help her loosen up on this as I just saw in the other thread, she will include it in her FS this season. Good on her.

Thank you everyone! Oh so she does have plans to include it in the FS? Well I do agree with Danibellerika, she has nothing to lose so good for her. Hopefully it'll help with the other jumps too. I admit I have a soft spot for Mirai so would love to see her make it. She has the goods, she "just" has to deliver. Just.

Or Mirai, if she URs consistently, that 3A, also probably a UR sure isn't going to help. I couldn't agree more really. If they can fully rotate the 3A, even with a fall, but do fine on their other triples it's definitely worth the risk. But a UR or worse, a DG, plus potential UR problems on other jumps and lol bust. Under-rotation is a problem for many ladies and cleaning that up is really a must.

We''ll both laugh ourselves silly. Yes, my thoughts are pretty much that. He'll go for PW/LGC in the short, and something classical in the long. Honestly I don't see another Chopin in the short but who knows. And with the classical in the long he can have a nice mix of something calmer that escalates into dramatic too, so he could have a mix there. I wouldn't mind that. It may not be 'original' as a music option but it'd work.

I don't think Tchaikovsky for the LP is so far fetched actually! For the SP I lean more towards rock, jazz, pop but the LP, yeah.

Yup. I know people have plenty of good ideas but it's the Olympics for one, and then there's feedback from H&L for another. Think more classical and conventional. He's not going to risk it now.

Anyone know Mirai's plans? I know she's been practicing the 3A but I'm curious how soon does she start showing it off. The sooner, the better IMO It's the dumb lesson, I don't think you can get them to act any differently than they do, especially now when the better half left.

So Carmina Burana, La La Land soundtrack or Imagine? :grin: Hopefully not that prosaic :rofl2: but though the idea for the SP escapes me, supposedly PW like so could be many things, I think in the long they'll go for something classical and known. Might not be a much used piece, hopefully but I doubt they'd stray from the big names tbh.

He was on the JGP circuit last season if I remember well, came in 3rd at one of the events. Germany maybe? He's 16 I think.

What I find funny with those particular comments, and I've seen plenty of those is that if you reverse the situation, all hell breaks loose. Well he didn't, why are you dissing their win, etc. Now I actually do think it's wrong to say if so and so had only, he would have, so how come it's not applied to Yuzuru? In other words, hypocrites. Applied to some, not others. They go hand in hand with ISU and how they're willy nilly about applying rules.

Some great music suggestions here but IMO you need to think more simple and conventional. It's the Olympics season.

I think considering how the audience went into fits by the end there, he probably considered it a massive success. Which both frightens me, and doesn't, considering what might show up as music for the new SP. Honestly, towards the end of the season there, I would not have been surprised to see panties on ice post performance. Who knows, maybe he'll be the first to draw this reaction during the Olympics, considering everyone's more fired up then anyway automatically
