I figured I'd open a thread in the Church? Dedicated to wedding planning and then I can update the list as people post. But I'd ask for no chat, or yes, it'd be lost in seconds

Hello, hello and welcome! Please do try and join us. We don't bite ... much. But gently

Team we're fewer but still good!
Yatagarasu replied to Yatagarasu's topic in Igloo World: Team Other Skaters
They're just divine, aren't they? If they can get consistent, they're going to be a threat. Though admittedly, I had to watch their EX through my fingers during WTT. Glorious but uh oh. Huh. SC maybe? -
Yes, true about Y's other 3-3! Yes, as far as I know Rika's just fine now but I guess I can't help but be cautious about this. I am not entirely sure, but I do believe that was the same injury Mao had and eeeh, hopefully they've dealt with it and it won't reoccur. Fingers crossed!

Throws salt. Whips out Holy PPoS Church water.

Since I know there are many Javier fans among Yuzuru fans, why not open one for him and all the other skaters who are with countries that don't have a complete set or at least have far fewer competitors in disciplines. Like Ryom/Kim for example, I'm really hoping that we'll end up seeing them during the Olympic games, they're fabulous and it would be such a shame to miss them. Bychenko did great work so Israel will have 2 spots and Samarin can breathe a sigh of relief. Well done Dabin! Will we see Bet introduce that quad? The Australians are doing so well, it's amazing the progress they've made. I hope they manage to get a spot in the team event!

Only bits allowed The whole of Yuzu only gets to marry his various jumps. They live in happy polyamory!
-
I agree about her potential but the health ... she's already had knee problems IIRC so I don't know. I hope they're going to take good care of her as she's just missing the age cut now. Then there are the sisters, I had to go looking because I know I've seen it somewhere, here we go, both practicing the 3A, Yuhana and Kinayo Yokoi - click Rika? No.

Hanyu-senshu has the most beautiful axis and flow going into and out of his jumps in the world, and he is fastidious about these things. He is not only technically adept, but is an artist. He has everything figure skating requires. -Shizuka hold-my-bear Arakawa

No rush, take your time, plenty to explore! And honestly, don't worry about the English, it's truly more than fine. We're going to have a wedding, well THE wedding at the church too so be sure to join us there too if you fancy yourself a piece of Yuzuru
-
Yay, one more person to suffer with me! When she starts trying out that 3A, we're going to have a party!
-
*hugs* One day if I finally manage to drag myself to CoR you have my permission to point and laugh, after of course you get me drunk enough to make me open my mouth. It'll be free comedy gold. But hey, I'd laugh at myself too so it's all good!
-
You would laugh at me if I tried out my Russian. Trust me. You'd keel over and have tears in your eyes. Even Yuzuru couldn't make me do it!
-
At this point, there's nothing to do but well, be immune to it  Otherwise it's just super annoying. But if something eh pops up, don't be surprised, Olympics season after all. We're going to have plenty to talk about anyway. Will he land this, will he land that ... has he learned the polka to up his 3F GOEs.
-
Welcome! And your English is perfectly fine! Please do join us in gushing about Yuzuru, there's plenty to talk about even if it's not technicalities and ahem, check out the Church when you have time if you liked the glorious invisible convos ETA I haven't seen anything Fay but fingers crossed. It seems quite plausible.
-
I expect him in JGP this season, it's one of the reasons why I'd watch Good body build to compensate I guess but even that's not eternal. He's not the only one, Nathan still has iffy landings, his poor hip. In that sense, Patrick's very much correct.
-
On tv. His textbook jumps. I mean you may think what you want, but this PR game is old, and Yuzu's been on the receiving end for years. It's just how this goes.
-
Yes, Shun is working on the 3A as far as I know. There was only that one time I think BESP uncles mentioned his many (or frequent?) injuries, I cannot now recall which comp that was but just because we don't hear of it, doesn't mean smaller ones aren't happening. When you look at the way he jumps, that is just not good for his body. At all. I mean I am sure he and his team know that, so if it's staying that way, then they have decided to go for it. I'm mostly concerned of any youngsters getting the idea that this is somehow something to emulate. Not to mention that ... fliploop thing. Yes, cameras help out a lot! Also photoshop but you know. I remember I was talking to a friend and mentioned his small jumps and he was so surprised I thought they were small, more convinced by the fancam but later he got to see him live and it was whoa, you were right! He likes his interpretation and this I agree with, though we both feel like he still has to create his own expression, but those jumps ... :whiteflag:
-
I know! To make things worse, I think he's really into it, so if the music allows I get this feeling we'll be seeing it again (the 3A probably too) :s_crazy:

LOL your avatar helps in the shade throwing xD Akiko and Kozuka are like: "Hanyu is blah, Shoma is great" Shizuka: "Hold my beer!" Got to love her! And considering Akiko is promoting Shoma's perfect jumps, please, don't anyone even try to tell me Nagoya's PR machine isn't at full swing. It's only going to get messier. But props to Shizuka, I am so happy that Yuzuru has at least some people in his corner and that she is speaking out!

I have given up hope for combo going first. It should because it offers a major safety net but lol, what is that? Also, lol what are my nerves? :whiteflag: In terms of safety, I think the best bet is keeping the current layout but I don't actually believe even that will happen.

I think the man are going to be interesting. If Vincent proves even remotely reliable, I think the USFS will go with him. BV is BV and if he has a decent season his PCS will be rising too. That leaves the third spot and the least likely to grab that one is Max I believe. Jason has had two excellent competitions but seems very ambitious in his new layouts so we're going to have to wait and see how that pans out. Who knows about Josh and of course there's Adam. It's going to be messy.

Gachinski already competed. You can see them already SP FS

It's a given, considering he makes less revolutions in air and more two-footed skating than others Oh bravo  But hey, it's the truth. If he doesn't already have injury problems, I'll eat my pretty summer hat. It's new too. As for the new guys coming up, I've really only focused on two, Sota and baby Shun. In general I tend not to get too attached to Juniors because injuries, puberty, etc but I cannot help it. Fingers crossed for Sota especially. Negl, I would really like to see him somewhere like Canada because I think it would help him.

That's pretty much what I thought of that Radio transfer too! Do we know anything about Yulia? Didn't look promising the last time I was looking at new info. She's still very young, it'll take time. Her various EX programs seem to indicate to me that she's willing to experiment and this is the one place where she can. Otherwise, she still doesn't really have all that much pull to take control of her programs. I honestly don't get what the issue is with Sailor Moon. It's a fun EX, perfect for a 17yo and she sells it completely; I mean it was so obvious she had loads of fun skating to it, singing along. All the talk about empty or not appropriate ... it's a Gala by a teen! Oi.
