I'm just thinking of various ways to help him conquer his fear and dislike of paprika....

What if we fashioned the paprika as a pooh? Would that help? Or would that lead to pooh traumas?

New accomplishment for the season: conquering the fear of paprika!

.....Friday night eh? Sounds a lovely way to spend it, shall he go to Finlandia or not? Should we hold our breath for another Mt. Irene eruption?
-
If his goal is consistency of a 4Lz then yea, I can see him potentially going. But then that means he would need to debut the 4Lz at ACI.
-
...I have to ask, is PChan going to Finlandia? If yes- is it Yuzu trying to find a substitute for Skate Canada?
-
....that's a bit close to Rostelcom, no? Both locations and date wise. If he's definitely going to ACI, has he ever done 2 Senior B events in a row like this though? I thought his goal for this season was to stay healthy? o_O

What if it's a gradient type? Like wine red gradient to black sleeves? On the other hand, red costume, with silvery metallic embroidery, black leggings, and dark blue lining, would that work?

why are we giving him ideas? It's not 18/19 season yet. And I kind of want to see him skate til 2022.....

conspiracy between Jeff and designer?

so it was quiet, meek, nice Jeff Buttle all along who did that eh? Well who would have thunk it.....

I like the fact that there is nothing after that line.

Thank you Julia for the joy and beauty you shared with us. We will never forget the girl in the red dress. Here's to wishing you a happy future, no matter what you choose.

I have this one saved as reference. Recently my toe loops have gone wonky (but my loops are behaving a bit better). He's working so hard to contain himself from going full on 4T.

You know, the ladies field don't have a 33 this season, at least not among Medvedeva, Zagi, Mai, Wakababy, Small Queen, Daleman, Kaitlyn, Karen, Ashley even..am I missing someone? There are a ton of 32's though.... Thanks for all the updates on Seimei. When I heard the annoucement of Seimei, much as I would have loved a new program, I have to say, my feelings were this: Now after reading all the interviews and his thoughts and the possibility of his extraness even on the costuming, I must say, I need to calm myself just in case. So now I've flipped to

I'm actually a bit worried about the changes they are thinking of, other than the fact ISU is trying to refine the TES score and not de-coupling BV and PCS. There are a couple where I can see a harder jump layout executed well and to the music could deserve higher PCS, but that should be applied consistently. Consistency is the problem with a lot of judging these days. Second, before fixing the BV of jumps, they should seriously just toughen up tech panel to match the ladies. I.e. Wrong edges, cheated take offs, etc should be called. Since we have 30 secs less program time next, I think it's viable for the tech panel to get a chance to review more content in slow mo. I still find it slightly astounding that with all the quad lutzes and flips going around, no guy has had a wrong edge. I know these guys are amazing, but still-Seriously?! Before even going up the GOE scores, if we wanted guys to go for good, clean jumps, that might have been enough- at least in the ladies tech calls usually do the job. A wrong edge call is a big enough point loss that most skaters would think carefully before throwing in harder edge jumps (flips/lutzes) just for the BV possibility. Third, I would prefer to see how judges actually use the +/-5 GOE first before slashing BVs. Because then theoretically it is possible for a well done 3 Lz, 3A etc to get the same score as quads. This is probably a good direction, especially where 3As are concerned- there were many guys even at WC who did quads fine but faltered on the 3A. Considering that the 3A jump is the jump among the men's that separates the boys from the men, then it should be given proper notice. Fourth, if the ISU still insists on decreasing BV, I hope they do a small change. Like around 0.2-0.3 change, not drastic. This is to prevent another vancouver men's repeat. And also, I think it's rather mean to all the junior men who are practicing quads now, but then in 3 years get told that their work isn't as appreciated. Furthermore, on the ladies' side, we haven't seen much jump layout changes in quite a while, if we decrease the BV too much, there's less incentive for ladies to go for the new jumps-and to a degree it's a bit unfair to ladies who have been practicing the quads right now.

so he has been experimenting with controlling his jump height and distance?

oh he's capable of being both. I think at some point when you think the youthful innocence is gone, it'll rear it's head again. Think about Hope and Legacy, it's a delicate program that only he is capable of pulling off. Steel hidden underneath all that silk. As for growing up....really, after him trolling us that much?!

oh dear....can imagine the result... Hara internal monologue: must not,like...oh gods, did he just smile atme...must not...wait, is that a neko pose...must not...ohnoes, the moe is too much...NOOOO! *implodes* "And that, dear children is how you silence critics and slay enemies. "Old man Yuzu recounts fondly, patting the head of a small student. "Fascinating story gramps."

..I dunno man...it sounds like Yuzu is really flirty with any of the photographers and journalists he's familiar with. We already had a high number of near-death incidents due to massive nosebleeds this summer with Neko-Yuzu, what do you think will happen with Flirt-machine Yuzu? Speaking of which, how do female photographers or journalists survive through his flirt machinations when he becomes familiar with them?

I don't really envy Pooh. Just look at the gifs...Pooh is usually randomly getting eye-massages (that usually involving poking his eye), random pulls and squeezes on his ears and nose, has to give up autonomy of the limbs to allow his overlord to dictate when to wave or bow, and has to be available to kiss random strangers or random objects that are not always clean (i.e. ice). In other words, be more considerate of your pooh's feelings, Yuzu!

I wasn't curious before, but now you have me curious....what type of article did appear? O_o Besides, we kind of already figured Yuzu could be a flirty type after the Neko-Yuzu incident this summer, so how much more extra did he go this time around?

Depends on what you mean by quad craze. As long as the top six guys can all do 3-5 quads in a free skate, the quads won't stop because that will be the minimum barrier you need to surpass to be top 6-10 in the men's. All the top new guys right now, even in juniors have quads at the ready, so Yuzu leaving competitive skating really won't put a halt on that. For the ladies, if the top 6 ladies consistently have a quad or a 3A in their programs, it will also stabilize and become the norm. Though the period right before it normalizes, I guess we'll call it the 3A craze in the ladies? It might not be perceived as a "craze" anymore because it's the norm. Until some guy starts doing 4-4 combos. Speaking of which, which 4-4 do you guys think will come first? Or will we finally have a guy throw BV to the winds and do a 3-4 first? Like a 3 Lz-4T? Is a 4T-4T more doable though?

I wonder how much Yuzu actually prerotates his 4Loop? A lot of skaters seem to prerotate on ice between 90-180 for the loop, but I suspect extra-space-kitty Yuzu might be only about 90 degrees prerotation?

I'm actually okay with the BV. Objectively, the ones with a bit of prerotation built in are the toe loop, salchow and loop. Objectively flip is easier than Lutz, simply because your body is turning into the direction of rotation, plus there's a bit of a pivot built there to allow you to do a slight rotation on ice before you launch. Besides the Axel, Lutz is the closest you get to a full rotation on ice. Also, the timing of both the flip and the lutz can be tricky when you start learning them-this is less an issue for toe loop, sal and loop. In terms of quads though, I think quad loops might be possibly harder, simply because loops are harder at the entry point as you are relying on a single right back outside edge to get the lift for the jump. Yuzu's loops are pretty amazing height and distance wise. Lutzes and flips on the other hand, are easier to get height and distance. Which I think is an interesting issue. If majority of skaters actually find quad flips and lutzes easier than a quad loop, does that mean a quad loop's BV should be brought in closer to the quad flip and quad lutz bv?
