According to the German article, Stephane's sister suggested him four years ago (after he had a foot surgery) that he should switch to ice dance. Valter Rizzo - Matteo's father who's a former ice dancer - also suggested him to do ice dance. He started to look for partners and also spent some time in the US in August, but he almost gave up on becoming an ice dancer. Then Roland Wehinger - who's the head of Swiss fed - found a partner, Arianne Wroblewska and suggested him to skate together. They've been training together since 1. October. Stephane says that none of them has any background in ice dance and the biggest challenge is the completely new dynamics of ice dancing. He is not only responsible for himself but also he also needs to accommodate to the new partner and situation and that they have to work together. Their first competition was the Nationals, and after that they'll decide what to do next, and to set some realistic goals about their future. Here's the final result of the Nationals:

And I'm not following Navka/Kostomarov anymore but I saw some posters in Moscow about a show with Navka alone - and here it seems Kostomarov will skate alone as well. Do they not skate together anymore? Sorry for OT

Withdrawal from Nationals 2019

Thank you for your feedback. As @axelnojutsusaid, available live stream links are added to the first post of every competition thread (except the 'other federation' national competitions where are more posts about each national competitions, not just the OP). It happens that there are links which don't work for everyone or that shortly before the competition there are new links. Those admins or mods who're online will try to add all available links to the OP, even during the event. But in any case if you don't find a stream which works for you, if you ask for a link in the competition thread, someone will help you. I think all links should be visible to everyone except the CBC stream which requires VPN. But if some streams are geoblocked in some countries we'll add that info, too. If there're available videos we usually post them after the event (like here). If you're in the UK then Eurosport Player could be useful for you. There's a monthly or yearly fee for this service but they usually stream all Grand Prix events, or bigger competitions like European Championships, Four Continents Championships or World Championships. Even if the TV doesn't broadcast some events you can watch them on Eurosport Player live and the stream if available for a couple of weeks after the event, too so you can rewatch them any time.
