Both James Bond and Matrix programs suited Joubert's style very much! I liked his skating very much too. I won't forget how he won his first Europeans title over Plush back in 2004 with Matrix and also Bond is very memorable because it was his short program in the season when he won his only Worlds title in 2007. Back to the early 2000s.... Michelle Kwan's 'Fields of Gold' from the 2002 Olympics is my favourite exhibition in the ladies. It still brings me to tears after all these years

Can any of us resist his power? There are many full page sized pictures in it which are gorgeous. I also love the cover picture, Yuzuru in white LGC. Plus the magazine has all of his protocols from the 16/17 season. It's not cheap...but to me, Christmas came a bit earlier this year

Google translations are never really reliable but I didn't read in the original article that Jun Hwan was pushing to medal in PyeongChang. It said that he was expecting good results at the Olympic Games but nothing more. The title is a bit too much, though... it says 'Cha Jun-hwan, Trap of 'Pyeongchang' and 'Four Rotations'. Már a kűrről álmodok majdnem minden nap... Tegnap azt álmodtam, hogy ma lesz a nagy nap, és azzal nyugtattam magam, hogy az időeltolódás miatt nem kell aggódnom amiatt, hogy reggel a hírekre kelek fel. Az valószínűleg úgyis magyar idő szerint délután vagy este lesz. Úgyhogy ezt nyugtázva aludtam tovább és tovaszállt az álom Kíváncsi vagyok, mond-e bármit is majd a zenén kívül, vagy beszél-e a 4Lo-3T-ről/4Lz-ról vagy bármiről (szerintem nem fog még, inkább később). Én sem vagyok biztos a négyfordulatos lutz-ban, de nem is tartom teljesen kizártnak. Azon is múlik, hogy %-ban mennyire ugorja meg edzéseken a nyáron, meg persze, hogy milyen az állóképessége most, bírná-e az öt quados kűrt. És vigyázni kell arra hogy semmilyen sérülésveszélybe ne kerüljön... Szerintem sokan azért is rebesgetik a Seimei-t, mert sokak szerint felülmúlhatatlan volt és a lehető legjobbakat akarja az olimpián futni. De ez nem elég érv önmagában. Biztosabb, hogy olyan programról van szó, ami Yuzu kedvence és akár évek óta ott van a tarsolyban, és az idei szezonig tartogatták. Jaj Yuzu, kivele már!

Végre augusztus van. Most már csak néhány nap, maximum másfél hét és valószínűleg megtudjuk a kűrzenét, meg talán néhány plusz dolgot is (4Lz vagy nem 4Lz )! Egy kicsit jobban érzem magam, mint egy hete Ahhoz képest, hogy túlvagyunk a májuson...júniuson...júliuson...most már úgy érzem ezt a kis időt ki tudom böjtölni. Valahogy az utóbbi időben többen rebesgetik a Seimeit, de továbbra is meglepne, ha visszahozná. És szerintem sem lesz más japán zenéjű kűr. Egyrészt mert ez lenne a harmadik év sorozatban hogy ilyen zenét választ, másrészt nekem is bennem van, hogy Koreában nem hiszem, hogy ilyen zenére futna. Nem mintha a közönség nagy része vagy a bírói panel nem lenne külföldi....de azért az ottani médiában lehetne ennek visszahangja, ha nem is teljesen negatív fényben, de akkor is. Brian azt mondta, hogy a legjobb választást tartogatják az olimpiai szezonra. Ebből indulok ki mindig, hogy akkor biztos hogy valami nagyon jó lesz! Tényleg bármi legyen az, nekem tetszeni fog, mert biztos hogy nagyon jó koreográfiát készítenek neki és olyasvalamit, ami illik majd hozzá. Persze vannak elképzeléseim, hogy legyen dinamikus, grandiózus, felemelő (mint a Two Steps from Hell zenéi) de végül lehet, hogy teljesen más lesz a választás. És azt is ugyanúgy szeretni fogom. A Tango de Roxanne amúgy az utolsó programja volt amit nem Wilson koreografált neki, hanem még Tom Dickson. Az összes többi programját a 2006/2007 szezontól viszont már Wilson.

Hoping for the best, yes, but because of the quad craze of men's figure skating in the last couple of seasons, and the fact that the SP and FS in PyeongChang will be on two consecutive days again, the possibility of a competition with full of mistakes will be really high...

I really hope that Jun Hwan will recover from his injuries as soon as possible! Also, I think June Hyoung could do better at Nebelhorn if he focuses on stabilizing the the 3A and he aiming for a mistake-free SP and FS. He's been struggling a lot with the 3A and there are also the underrotations + edge calls on the lutz, so it might be too early and risky to add a quad to his program now. Anyway I enjoyed his free skate and I particularly liked the air guitar part and how got into it performance-wise. He was singing some parts of the song, too! Now that I'm catching up with videos and tweets, I've seen that Yuna was also there at the medal ceremonies

Thank you for your sharing your pictures, they are beautiful, @CupidsBow! I still need time to catch up with the videos, but I've seen the top four junior ladies and they were all good. I found Kam's performance impressive, despite of the mistakes. And overall I liked Lim the most - she has improved a lot since last season. Good luck to them in the free skate! In the seniors, it's good to see Park doing relatively well in the SP, too. Hope she can skate a good free skate. Jun's boot problem may be the reason why he won't skate next weekend. It is an unfortunate situation but it is better that it happens now than later in the season...

At first I thought it was photoshop. I love the pants! Nice sparkles everywhere. The upper part looks like a cheaper version of Yuzu's costume, but overall it looks nice! #teamboobskirt

Yuzu minden zenét jól elő tudna adni. Kételkedtem benne még hetekkel ezelőtt is, hogy például latint sikerülne-e, de most már arra is azt mondom, hogy meg tudná tanulni, mert nagyon muzikális és dinamikus. Persze sok múlna azon is, hogy pontosan milyen zenét választana, ahhoz milyen koreográfiát készítenének neki. de kicsit Yuna jut eszembe ilyenkor. Az ő stílusa is nagyon könnyed, száll a jégen, csakúgy, mint Yuzu. Annak ellenére, hogy a tangó kicsit darabos stílus, mégis sikerült kétszer is nagyon jó programot koreografálni neki erre a zenére, ráadásul két nagyon különböző programot, egy rövidet s egy kűrt, a szenior karrierje legelején és a legvégén, amit kiválóan elő is tudott adni. A Rondo Capricciosot kicsit nehéz elképzelnem hozzá, de csak azért mert a zongorát jobban megszoktam (meg talán azért mert mindig Sotnikova jut róla eszembe ). Biztos, hogyha azt választaná, egy csodálatos programot látnánk tőle. A Carmina Burana jó választás lenne, nagyon jól felépített mű zeneileg, iszonyú drámai amit szuperül tudna előadni. Itt is kellene egy jól összevágott zene és persze egy annál is jobb koreo. De a Step Two Hell is jó lenne amiatt, mert drámaiak. Szerintem ezt már mutattam, de ha már Step Two Hell és Thomas Bergersen, akkor ez Felemelő, grandiózus, gyönyörű, és illene Yuzuhoz. De valószínű, hogy már olyan elvonási tüneteim vannak, hogy azt mondom, bááááármi, csak mondja már meg

I still choke up when I watch Yuna's Gershwin free skate from Vancouver. Not only because she skated both her SP and LP perfectly but also because it always makes me think of how much struggle she went through in her junior and senior years and these two performances was the coronation of her brilliant career. The pressure on her was immense and she never had the support from her federation that almost all the other Olympic champions had (not because they didn't support her but mainly because the Korean federation is small and powerless compared to the big ones). Prior to the Olympics, in the 2009/2010 season she couldn't skate this program without mistakes which could have put even more pressure on her. But when it really counted, she always showed how strong she was mentally and could skate perfectly (and this, twice at two Olympic Games and once at the World Championships in 2013 - if we don't count that edge call on her flip in the short program). Her skating during the free skate in Vancouver was effortless and she really made it look so easy as Sandra Bezic said after she finished her program. There are a couple of free skates of Yuna that I like more than Piano Concerto - definitely Arirang, Adios Nonino, and probably Scheherazade and Les Miserables too - but this was Yuna at her very best technically. I also love how she skated so elegantly, light but with much confidence throughout the whole program. As it there was not doubt that she would skate it perfectly. Long live the Queen
