Hi! This is the thread to discuss Yuzu's 2015-2016 season and to organize the streaming party! Yuzuru skated to Chopin and Seimei (for the first time) in this season, won his third GPF title and set new world records, from which two of them are still the current best ever scores! Since we're having the 24h TV broadcast this coming weekend, the streaming parties will be next week, on 2-3 September. Welcome, @paperatoms! LGC was without any doubt the most exciting and best performance on that afternoon! There were a couple of really nice performances but none of them came close to anywhere near LGC! It could have been a bombastic short program in the Olympic season, but I completely understand the reasons why he didn't keep it. Maybe we can hope that he would skate it at an exhibition once? In white pants, dark lights and all! It would be incredible...

Ivett Tóth broke her fifth metatarsal bone after she slipped down stairs in her home in Switzerland. She underwent surgery a couple of days ago in Hungary and her leg will stay in cast for about six weeks. She says that she feels okay, the injury doesn't hurt, and if it was up to her she would already practice again tomorrow. She's starting physical conditioning in two weeks. Most likely she won't be able to compete at Cup of Russia, and she will return in November. I was so looking forward to cheering her in Moscow

In an interview with R-Sport, Maria Sotskova said that she was practicing 4S in the end of last season and realized that it is possible to develop it in the future, but she won't add it this season. She also thinks that no one will take the risk to add the quad salchow now. But she didn't rule out the possibility to add the jump in the future.

Elvileg nem lehet azt semennyire sem szankcionálni, ha valaki újrahasznál egy programot. Még akkor sem ha kétszer használnak újra valamit. Azt elképzelhetetlennek tartom, hogy két programot nagyon szeressenek a bírók, majd másfél évre rá már kevésbé és ez meg is látszódna a pontozáson. Hát az nagyon fura dolog lenne! És rajta kívül mások is felhasználnak régi programokat, ami egy olimpiai szezonban rendjén is van - főleg akkor ha technikailag erősödik a tartalom. A bírók pedig szerintem nem néznek meg annyiszor egy programot szabadidejükben, nem úgy mint az elvetemült fanok Náluk egy-egy program sokszor egy a sok közül, nincsenek úgy "hozzászokva" mint mi. Ebből nem lehet probléma Amúgy nagyon kíváncsi vagyok művészileg a két programra. A Chopin egy CSODA, egy évvel érettebb volt a FaOI-on mint amikor utoljára adta őket elő. A Seimei-t pedig nem tudom hova lehet még fokozni, de biztos hogy fogja tudni. Nagyon tetszett amit mondott: a lényege úgy szólt hogy minden versenyen máshogy és máshogy akarja előadni a programot, amilyen akkor a hangulata lesz. Ez milyen szép. Látszik, hogy a szívét-lelkét, az érzelmeit beleadja a programjaiba. A kosztümöket én is alig várom! Szerintem lesznek változtatások, de nem tudom mennyi. A Chopin szerintem marad kék, de más lesz mint az eddigiek (pont amiatt is hogy ne mondják hogy a korábbiakkal azonos). A szabása hasonló lehet mint eddig, de minden más változhat. Vannak tervek, pl. ez: A Seimei-re talán még jobban kíváncsi vagyok. Lehet, hogy az alapszín is teljesen megváltozik és pl. egy sötét kosztüm lesz. Az nagyon hatásos lenne ha jól megcsinálják! De az is lehet hogy marad az alapszín és a többin változtatnak, mint ez: Világos vs sötét (x)

I say it in general and it's just my opinion but if judging is fair and someone has issues with edges on the lutz then it shouldn't be worth to have a 4Lz.

The BV of 4Lz is 13.6. In case of an edge call the BV is 9.5. (if it's not clear edge, then the original BV is allowed but the GOE is usually reduced). In case of both an edge call and underrotation, the BV is 8.4 +count on the negative GOE or deductions as well (which can be from -1.2 to -4.0 overall). And if a 4Lz gets downgraded then then the BV would be the same as for 3Lz, which is 6.0. So if a skater has good technique with no edge problems and URs, it is worth to bring in the 4Lz; if he has edge calls AND URs then it is not worth it.

I also met Brian Orser before the Sochi Olympics (and then later at Junior Worlds and in Helsinki), he is very nice in person. I have a picture with him. In Helsinki I met a couple of skaters too. Nathan and Javi were standing alone on the corridor for about 15 minutes - they had more time because it was Friday, the day between SP and FS. On my flight back home from Helsinki one of the photographers I met showed me his collection of signatures from figure skaters. He proudly told me that he had the chance to meet Yuzu before the exhibition and got a signature from him. So for the rest of the journey he gave me his collection and I hold Yuzu's signature in my hands. It was a beautiful ending of one of my best weekends of my life.
