Yuzu minden szempontból egy főnyeremény, nemcsak sikeres de még szuper megnyerő is, és akkora rajongóbázisa van, hogy minden amit reklámoz azonnal el is fogy. Minden marketinges álma lehet Az nagyon nagy dolog, hogy mindkét olimpiai bajnok Sendaiból jött. Sokkal több nehézséggel kellett megküzdenie Yuzunak, mint azoknak akik jóval jobb körülmények között tanultak meg korcsolyázni és edzettek. Arról nem is beszélve, hogy mindezek után miket kellett átélnie 2011-ben Yuzunak és mindenkinek aki Sendaiban edzett... Sendai eleve egy szegényebb részen helyezkedik el Japánban, és ez óriási veszteség hogy őket sújtotta a katasztrófa. Az olimpiai rendezés biztos sok pénzt hoz azért a japánok kasszájába, de valószínűleg a pénz úgyis Tokióra megy majd... A szívem megszakad most is amikor azokat a dokumentumfilmeket újranézem. Nem csoda, hogy annyian tisztelik és szeretik Yuzut - van miért.

Yes, Yuzu got an edge an all his eight flips he jumped during the 2010/11 season. Then, in the next season he only got one edge call out of his six 3Fs... If you're interested you can find the data of the success rates of his jumps here.

OMG @Hydroblade I'm so happy for you! And for everyone who'll be there in Canada to support Yuzuru! His decision to compete at ACI comes not as a surprise- the event is near and it will be one month before CoR, so time-wise it's perfect, too. I'm already so excited, September can't come soon enough

@Lyyli thank you so much for putting so much effort into your work! I love The Man in the Iron Mask OST, it's powerful, dramatic, and iconic, something which perfectly fits to the Olympic Games. But because Alexei Yagudin skated to this piece of music and his FS in Salt Lake City became one of the most memorable Olympic free skates ever, the comparison between Yuzuru and Alexei would be just too much. I know that whatever music Yuzuru has decided to skate for his FS, I'll like it -simply because I liked all the music he chose for his competitive programs so far, and it won't change in the next season. I think it would be very good for the Olympics if he skated to something which is epic, dramatic and grand, though. This could be either an OST (like the already mentioned Gladiator OST) or a classical piece which is dramatic (even Firebird or Carmen). I think apart from the choreography of the program, the cut is equally important. An average music choice with excellent cut could result in a good program, and also vice versa, a program with brilliant music has the possibility to become average when the cut of the music is not good. But again, I have no doubts that Yuzuru's FS will be something which has great music, choreography and music cut. I just can't wait to know what it'll be

He either miscalculated the distance from the board or he just didn't think his combo would be that huge? This is a rare mistake anyhow.:) Patrick's 4T3T is great, but to me, timing and musicality are equally important, so yeah, overall: Yuzu > Patrick

Multiply that 10, because it is most likely that we'll have separate threads for the ladies, mens, ID or pairs events (SP and also FS) at least for the bigger competitions.

(Nem mintha nem lehetne elemezni akár hosszabban is hol mennyit fejlődött az izomzata...) Hát igen, gálázásból jelenleg a világon csak a japánok tudnak ennyi pénzt csinálni. És a műkorcsolyban nagyon felkészültek a médiában is. Fantasztikus az a sok-sok újság és magazin is amit mindig kiadnak (gondolkodom, hogy be kellene szerezni egy párat belőlük...még ha ingem-gatyám is rámegy ) És igen, azóta sok terhet pakolnak a korcsolyázóikra amióta ilyen népszerű a sportág arrafelé. Emlékszem mikor elkezdtem nézni, még csak Takeshi Honda volt a kimagasló korcsolyázójuk...aztán jött Daisuke és Oda, majd a juniorok között berobbant Mao. És közben karrierje végére a legjobb eredményeket érte el Shizuka is, akinek az olimpiai aranya végleg sok mindent megváltoztatott Japánban. Még jobban tisztelem Yuzut azért, hogy nem egy erős műkorcsolyázó térségből, hanem egy gondokkal küszködő kisvárosból, Sendaiból volt képes oda eljutni, ahova. Teljesen értem. Sosem lesz olyan, aki ennyi mindent elsőként hajtott végre. Abban mindig ő marad majd az első, és az etalon. És akárki jön is majd utána, az már csak maximum leutánozni - vagy inkább megközelíteni - tudja a technikai teljesítményét. De valami úgyis hiányozni fog majd. Mert egy olyan teljes korcsolyázó, mint ő, úgysem lesz még egy.
