Sombreuil
After seeing Sergei Voronov with his programmes by Mischa Ge I really want the Chinese fed to get M to work with Boyang. I know that Lori Nichol is their chosen choreographer but one size doesn't fit all and he would benefit from changing to someone new. I think it was a bit ..... ambitious of LN to take on so many different assignments for such a wide variety of skaters. She must have had an idea that she couldn't be a good fit for all of them and it would have been better for her own reputation if she had been pickier and agreed to do some but not others. beki
I'd love to be the fly on the wall who saw all the requests Misha had to turn down this year. And he's thriving in every respect! Lori has always done a lot of volume, and always been hit and miss. As the younger choreographers' workloads increase, they could end up the same; it's natural enough. She creates the greatest works for skaters who inspire her and become her muses. I'd still argue Boyang's short program is very, very good. Whoever was in charge of the LP music cuts needs a pie in the face. But maybe it wasn't her. Did she do Han Yan's programs this year? Because if so, she finally gets what makes him tick, after years of giving him schtickier fare. I think Boyang's injuries are the main issue. If he were healthy, we'd see more PCS progress and maybe he could make these programs work.

EisElle
I'm sad for Boyang, but I'm glad (and relieved) that he's taking care of himself. It made little sense to go to GPF to him anyway, with risk of worsening the injury and little gain And wow, skaters actually listening to their doctors Boyang could have listened to them before SA, but I suppose he wanted to try and prove he could earn a spot for the final. Now crossing my fingers for a great Boyang comeback
