My health is impeccable. Liza Tuktamysheva and Gleb Lutfullin got sick with coronavirus. The rest, if they get sick, then outside of COVID. Whether they will be able to take part in the Championship of Russia - I cannot answer.

I think that a lot will depend on whether there will be a European Championship. If this tournament takes place at the end of January, then the Russian Championship should be held with those athletes who are healthy. You have to choose who goes to the European Championship, and where else to be selected, if not in Chelyabinsk. If information comes that there will be no European Championship, then it will be possible to make a selection for the World Championship at the end of February at the Russian Cup final.

But I do not think that the Russian championship will be postponed, Chelyabinsk is waiting for the athletes. And those who are healthy will come there.

Some of the athletes have had a coronavirus, some have already recovered, some will now miss the stage of the Russian Cup in Moscow due to injuries. But everything is going as planned. We hope that the number of cases of infection in the country will not increase and there will be no tougher measures for the competition.

sports.ru is reporting that 16 (or is it 19?) Russian national team members haven't made the criteria for the Russian championship due to missing 2 or more Cup of Russia stages with either COVID or injuries or 'pneumonia'

....I have no words....

She's having COVID and he insists she should compete in a few weeks wth???

Apparently, she recovered and started training. Hey, she's got around three weeks left yet - you know she's capable of catching up with what she missed out on due to her back injury and covid, with which, it seems, she was hospitalised.

I'm actually amazed that people can go back to full training so soon after recovering from COVID and claiming they would be back to competition. I haven't had it myself (as far as I know) but my mum did and even after 2 months she sometimes finds herself out of breath doing things that were easier for her pre-COVID, apart from still not tasting or being able to smell anything. She is tough as a horse, so this state can only be attributed to having had COVID.

Director General of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKR) Alexander Kogan commented on the criticism of the American journalist Philip Hersh regarding the holding of the Russian Grand Prix in Moscow.

"I don't think we need to pay attention to this. Not a single claim has been sent to us from the International Figure Skating Federation. On the contrary, there were many congratulations and warm words for the fact that we had such an excellent tournament. After all, an athlete before the start trains with a partner on a daily basis, communicates without a mask with a coach."

I'm sorry to hear about your mom. It would take quite a long time to regain your sense of smell, I guess? Still, hope your mom will get well and keep healthy!
