I declare my triteza by D10 and Julian who did not qualify and by Nathan. What a sad day for him . I hope they are well; I need to sleep.

lolz, OK so I dug through the Eurosport Player to find the version with German commentary and... I probably shouldn't have  I should know better by now.

They actually shut up during the skates, and afterwards the lady was like "OK so that answers the question how well he's doing after his injury!" (and she actually sounded excited) and the other guy immediately went uuhhh yeeeaaaah well hmm that's just the SP, he's definitely gonna win the SP but there's still the FS, and I don't think we can say anything until then because more jumps and stamina and yada yada yada, he gave like a 2 minute monologue about what could hypothetically in theory still happen because less difficult jumps than the others and blah blah and we don't even know if he can make it through an entire FS and blah blah blah, and I just tuned out after a while.... also when the lady went on to say how she was captivated by the performance from the beginning he agaiiiin went uh yeah he was kinda cool-ish at the beginning, he already was so focused during the presentation of the skaters, and we've seen him skate that program much more freely in the past.... so basically yay positive thinking! You do everything right and I'm gonna lament about how you could still suck tomorrow!..... saving grace was that they said that he was sorely missed in other competitions and they're happy he's back but yeah  wasn't really listening anymore at that point

I don't think they predicted that would happen at that moment. But I agree they should not bother athletes too much when they are preparing themselves/trying to change and relax, etc.

I didn't catch Raf's reaction but I'm pretty sure Raf is going to get a lot of the blame for Nathan doing so poorly. Dave Lease (who has no integrity whatsoever) of The Skating Lesson has been tweeting that Nathan should look into moving to Toronto.

They didn't just oopsie-upload it to the internet. I know that this is the in-the-gutter level of ethics we can expect, but in my perspective, that's no reason to accept it as how it is. That means more people to throw f*ckin coconuts at for using something like this to get website traffic and hits.

_{It's lunch time here so I opened a celebratory pint on top of the shots earlier and I'm losing whatever filters I had left between brain and mouth that hadn't already been incinerated by the stress.}

really amazing how ppl have gone from he's gonna flop in the sp to he' s gonna flop in the FS now.
