A wonderful ladies' event for 6 wonderful young ladies

Happy podium!!!! My favourite wild child, all passion and fire, got a medal! Yay! And I love Alena's program, aethereal beauty.

Sasha went for the 4S (I should thank her because she UR her 4S, more points for me to make up a bit for what she made me lose getting gold) and as always such gut to land all her jumps, skating last in that field

I'd have liked to see Rika up there too...couldn't they add a pedestal for her? She landed that 3A3T after all... they need to upgrade podiums asap

And these fierce skater are so amazing and talented and with nerves of stainless steel, but turn into adorable little girls after their skate!   They were so cute in the interviews, and Aliona speaking english make me become a puddle of squishiness

Hopefully we can have another competition like this at Worlds (how many spots has Russia for Jr Worlds? If they're 3, there's still going to be one of these ladies left at home

Also, Sasha forgetting to use her microphone and talking about wanting to land 4T and 3A too. Senior ladies are warned. Alyona wanting Carolina's skating and Nastya wanting to do something new and improve her spins. Your spins are already insane, girl

Amazing event, just amazing. 

 

Kosto should have won, as her PCS are way too low compared to Trusova's but amazing. I am so pleased they all skated well, and the one fall was a quad attempt, which when you think about it, is just insanity! What a generation of girls. My only wish is that they all push through puberty and stick around for a long, long time in the Seniors! 

 

Also Rika, please have someone teach you to count on the fly. That is also practiced! Eteri, polish up Tarakanova but don't shove her in a box!

 

What an event and we still have Junior Worlds and before that, the bloodbath of Jr Russian Nats

She is so cute and shy. Look at her expression, when she does her best to understand the question. Those huge eyes are so beautiful! When she couldn't find correct words in English, I almost heard Yuzu telling his classical "may I speak Japanese, please, sorry" in my head, but this girl is a language-fighter, she found her way to finish the sentence.

JrL are truly amazing!  Personally I would have Alyona in first as an overall impresison, cudos to Sasha but not all FS went smooth, also she was slow on her last spins. But my fave today is Anastasya! True personality and passion on ice at a such young age

My heart says Anastasia, but my logic says Kostornaia was the best today, because she is the most complex skater and I think she was a bit underscored in PCS, compared to Trusova.

But to me, Anastasia was my favourite - she sold the program so well in my opinion, it's a difficult and heavy piece that would be too big for almost anyone, but not for her! The music is perfect for he. I like her raw wildness too and to me she seemed the fastest skater as well, but I might be wrong, because it's different what people see there in the arena and also what's visible in the videos.

 

This Junior  Ladies  GPF was definitely the best I've ever seen...

Kudos to Rika too who landed the first ever 3A-3T in the juniors field. And apart from her UR on the 3F, and some unclear edges for Samodurova and Panenkova, the ladies landed all their triple (and double) jumps cleanly in both the SP and FS, which is just a fantastic achievement. Congratulations to all of them!

That's just so precious. Interviewer already waits for the translation and then she goes in to speak.

Well done, Alena! Must be hard to speak a language that's quite different from your own native language and then have the courage to speak it on TV.

I finally got some time to catch up with the Junior Ladies Free and I even managed to not get spoiled yet so I'm going to read back through your comments and pretend I'm watching live lol

Singled the second one which is a shame but that first combo was a beauty!! You'll get that second 3A next time 

Too bad about no 4S from Trusova, hope she can land it cleanly in the future!
I'm really excited to see how she'll develop in the next couple years.
