I actually liked Maria for the first time today, she looked lovely...

Too bad Marin had such a disastrous SP. Such a beautiful comeback. 

 

I have two questions. 1. Who on earth told Kaetlyn she would make a great swan  2. Who decided MR music is nice in any way

That's just...irresponsible. Especially since your skater is injured. If you're pissed, at least hold it together till after Kiss n Cry. 

YOu know, I like Kaetlyn's program. I don't think she's trying to be a lyrical ballerina with all the delicate arms and movements kind of thing.... I see it more as a personality skate. She is fighting and dying etc.... as a graceful swan on the stage she would fail... portraying the swan's emotional battle is another story.... i think people are only looking at it from the ballet to ice transition and find it lacking.

Ok, I amend my earlier comment. We now know both Anna and Gracie did not have supportive teams to help them get out of the slump.

it looks better in person. but on the big screen, with HD cameras, it's a little awkward. like she's clearly NOT a ballerina in any way. But IRL, from a couple tens of feet away, it looks like she could pass off for one

I don't mind this take on the Swan. But she looked an optimistic and triumphant swan - which sorta contradicts the idea of the ballet. and of the film.
