Actually if we think again, how could someone do perfect program when he just practice new layout in three days. He tried two triples at beginning for first time at AC. For Chopin already comfortable with the layout so it's easy for him. But for SEIMEI it's difficult. Happy to know he said this is first good competition.

Yeah judges love Seimei, and I think his perfect SP before did help a lot. Both Yuzu and Javi got generous PCS, but the placements are correct. They could still get gold and silver had their pcs are 10 points lower.

The other positive-since practicing quads does mess up your triple jumps' timing, Yuzu did manage to land his triple flip, so we can confirm the media replies from Brian and conclude that Yuzu hasn't started seriously training the quad flip....

You know... It's a good thing that this happened. If he had been clean in both programs, some people would have said he peaked too early or would have expected performances like this everytime. If he had failed in both programs, some people would have said that it's his end. So he did one perfect and the other one pretty badly, to satisfy both ends He just saved those perfect jumps for the future  And he needs all kuyashii and   "for further evolution"

I am just glad that recycling two programs does not seem to have a negative impact on his pcs; after all it was in CanadaIf he survived here, he should be fine with the rest of universe.

So everyone knew about Hydroblade's paper swans. What you don't know is that her paper swans have gone feral/wild and have even invaded enemy territory (aka Skate Canada). Leaving to go to the restroom, I noticed one of the volunteer ladies heading to the stairs leading to the skaters, teams and volunteers only area. I panicked and initially wondered if they confiscated her swans, so I asked a door guard what happened and if indeed, that was that box of swans. The door guard just smiled, nodded and confirmed that yes, indeed they were the swans. That some fan folded them and it is a nice gesture, and was passing them out to other fans. It might not have been intended for the volunteers today, but somewhere alone the telephone line, the message changed to give some to the volunteers. So, a volunteer lady was rushing them downstairs to be shared with all the other volunteers!

 

So now we have some wild, feral paper swans that have invaded the Skate Canada enemy territory! Now if only someone handed a swan later on to Pchiddy....XD

This is so great! Will we be doing something like this for COR again? It sounds like something that could be a bit of a tradition for PH satellites during events.

Also...

I was squished under the Chinese fans at the victory ceremony, against the railings.

Yuzu was right in front of me, leaning on the boards, head down, facing the people. I had a Swan I wanted to give him but I was hesitating. 

But I gathered courage and shouted "Hanyu senshu!!!"

He looked around, up and then straight at me. He didn't look at my hand, he just looked at me in the eye, gave me a BEAUTIFUL smile, bowed at me with his head and said "arigatou". 

During the victory lap, I was still squished under the Chinese fans, but I got a space kitty wrinkly smile.

Finally, after the press conference, we stayed to see if we could catch him and he saw my banner and the pH one, as  we were holding them up. We didn't shout, we just stood there. He saw my banner and me again, and everyone else too, we got an arigatou gozaimashita.

 

In short, my dreams came true. I accomplished everything I wanted. I hope he carries that support I gave him in his heart all season.

I really wish he would completely change his Seimei costume. Forget historical accuracy and go with something that is more attractive on him and that emphasizes his incredible body lines. I'd rather see him skate Seimei in that fabulous black and gray practice outfit than this updated version of his original costume.

That's great! How do you give them away? I'm an extremely shy person, but would be happy to try help with this. I'm just not sure if I'll be able to approach random strangers, but if it's for spreading Yuzu magic maybe I can try...^^;
