It definitely let me select 3 seating preferences per day (though you only get one if you win.) You can select pick up over the counter or delivery as methods of receiving the tickets so hotel address is probably fine.

I think I'll have to use someone else's name, though, because this is probably what JTB have already organised. Okay. ID fraud. No problem. :tumblr_inline_n18qr5AMus1qid2nw:

3 options is great...but which one has better chance...I don't care where to seat, I just want to get in...:sadPooh:

that's why it is confusing. also if you are luck to get two tickets, can you only buy one? can you change the name on the ticket?

well, technically/officially you can't get two tickets... since you can officially only apply once (unless of course, you buy two tickets, but I'm not sure how that works)... if you do, somehow, it might work to give them to someone, but you might need to enter together... no idea, though

I feel like if that is possible (cancel after you get it), we should always get 2. then you can find someone else to exchange...

or maybe you can group together, id check won't be a concern...lol

yes, still a few days... let's just rest today...

Okay, lotteries generally work this way:

You can list preferences so even if you miss out on Arena SS they still may offer you your second or third preference. If you only list Arena SS they won't offer you anything else. So preferences increase your chances of getting something.

You can apply for a maximum of two tickets - one for you and a friend - per event. I'm not sure if this would reduce your chances of winning, as in I'm not sure if they will bother offering you a single ticket if they can't offer two. This is why people join together in pools to enter lotteries. The second tickets get shared around.

If you win a lottery you aren't obliged to buy tickets, that's why there is a an acceptance period. Any leftover tickets not claimed in the lottery will (theoretically) go to general sale. So, for example, if someone decides they can't go, or if their friend won a ticket for them, etc., they don't have to accept and that ticket goes back to sale later.

(I'm really funky in the brain from this morning so I hope that made sense.)

ETA. In this case, by event I mean SP/FS/gala so each day is 2 tickets max. The reselling business I think has a lot to do with people applying for 2 tickets and selling the extra one. Of course also it's to do with buying seats in the place you want, too, as lotteries - like the sale this morning - don't allow seat selection.

So does that mean that you can enter lottery in different date with just one phone number?

I assume you can enter for each day but not more than once for each day? As for payment, I don't know because I haven't checked yet, but you might need a Japanese credit card or bank account?

Just once for each day, yes. And they didn't have any issues with my non-Japanese debit card when applying, I don't see why they would when it's time to pay... (well, until I got that error... but that was probably from too many transactions in a short period, even if they were 1yen each)
