o.O wouldn't placing him at the end be outright disrespectful to NC though? Maybe he wouldn't care that much since he has the OGM already, but it would make them look really shameless

Not at the very end. Just before the gold medalists as it was in Stockholm

What she says, "Beauty in the grit is more valuable than the medal."

On a lighter note, he really ended his 3rd Olys by achieving his personal goal, because "everything else is just background noise" (Max).

And he will forever be the GOAT of FS!!

Oh okay, that seems very possible. But is this even a permission based thing? Because what if the skater attends and just stands/sits/lies down on the ice? (Yuzu would never do that, but just hypothetically speaking.)

Is there a chance that ISU gives Yuzu permission not to participate in Gala due to injury?

Iirc in 2018 pairs Olympic champions Shavcenko/Masot withdrew from gala due to injury/illness. It was even a last minute thing bc i think they were in the gala rehearsal. Basically they can't force him if he's injured, but, knowing him,he unfortunately might force himself which i personally wish he wouldn't

Thank you for sharing.  It breaks my heart when he says that maybe his efforts were not rewarded. He isn't  three times Olympic Champion, he isn't Olympic medalist in Beijing, but he is something much more valuable. He is an inspiration, he is stretching the boundaries of what human being can do, he constantly shows us the beauty of figure skating, he helps people to go through hard times better than anyone I know. YUZU, BE PROUD OF YOURSELF, YOU ARE THE TRUE CHAMPION

Your efforts are not vain, your legacy already is huge and it will grow even bigger. :happy0158::thanks:

I can’t congratulate myself, I want someone else to praise me

ahhh Yuzu congratulations. I hope he sees the fans outside the venue and gets tons of congratulatory  messages :YuzuPoohSad:

Honestly, even GOAT seems like an understatement. The amount of hearts he's touched and people he's inspired goes beyond merely being amazing at a sport.

Fuck it really has been hard on his. Someone please hug him

NBC's poster for NC's win. Kinda gives me wrestling champion vibes (not that I know much about wrestling).

The poster pretty much sums up the tacky, tasteless, shallow crap churned out by IOCs chosen broadcaster.  From T&J with their bitchy biased commentary to nasty little Hamilton with his snide remarks.

He is undoubtedly injured, and I’m sure that would be enough for him not to participate in the gala.  He probably will though, if asked, unfortunately- another 10 days in this crowded ‘bubble’

So are we all lowkey thinking we're gonna have to do a 'Yuzu we love and support you always' project of some sort soon? Idk what it would look like but I feel the next few weeks is when we really should show our appreciation for him
