NBC's poster for NC's win. Kinda gives me wrestling champion vibes (not that I know much about wrestling).

He does recycle more than Nathan. It's strange for the judges to have that impact the scoring, though, since there's nothing in the rulebook about it. Although I suppose impressions do matter, even if they shouldn't.

I did hear the more you recycle the more you get on the judge's bad books. It's probably because they get sick of hearing the same music over and over so they do apply their biases on it.

I think Yuzu trying Tango or Jazz would be a breath of fresh air and it may boost his PCS because it's something we have never seen before. I see Yuzu as an artist and I wish he embraces what a total package he is. YUZU IS THE TOTAL PACKAGE and no one comes close to that. No other skater has both artistry and technical side like he does. yuzu never needed 4A to win, he just needed to keep skating like 2017 Worlds FS

He said he needed 4A in order to win, but I disagree.

Meghan Duhamel said the same on TSL and while I know that show is a clown show, I do agree with her that there were other ways he could have challenged Nathan.

He could have perfected 4Lo, 4Lz. We know he could land those. And bring 4T-3A SEQ

Or add 3A-3Lo.

Or add 4Lz to the short and focus on new exciting programs and choreo. But I feel Yuzu was driven to this situation. He said before if he goes to Beijing it will be to win, and I do feel he did challenge 4A because he thought in his mind it was the only way he could beat Chen. But a clean perfect Yuzu with 4Lz and 4Lo would have beaten Chen. The choreo and jump and spin and skating skill GOE on a clean Yuzu on olympic ice would have been impossible not to give full PCS and GOE.

To the very naked eye to figure skating newbies Nathan's rocketman last choreo sequence was a joke on Olympic ice. It had no poise at all. I know he was going for a comical choreo but it had no Olympic champion class at all.

Also I think Yuzu was robbed of a Bronze and that Yuma was robbed of a Gold. The Jump GOES were obviously overscored on Shoma and Nathan..

I love Yuzu so much but I do feel that at the end, the 3rd OGM consecutive title was a 100 year century worth title to seriously go for with better tactics and wiser and safer methods. I'm guessing why Yuzu broke off with Brian is probably Brian would have tried to persuade Yuzu to leave out 4A just for the Olympics and attempt it at other smaller games.

Do you not think about that he perhaps couldn't challenge 4Lz because his injury didn't allow him to do it? Especially putting it in the short program...4T3A sequence isn't worth what is should worth too, because it only has 80% base value.

His goal was obvious in the past seasons. Who cares what Duhamel or TSL says anyway.

It's serious then. Go home and rest well Yuzu. Forget Worlds and focus on recovering and landing 4A in the next season. <3

Then what about 4Lo? Where did that disappear to? We will never know why he left that out but we do know he can land 4Lo and 4Lz more cleaner than 4A.

and I would say Yuzu in 2022 wants to improve, not repeating 2017 FS. It's all about motivations. He has won everything, another OGM will not motivate him, especially when he has to compete with an overscored monster who doesn't know what is artistry. His motivation is challenging his limits, 4A is his limit now. The mindset of a GOAT is different from me and you. Don't look at it from your own eyes.

Again, he doesn't want to do a 5 quads empty program so there was no room in Tenchi for 4Lo/4Lz if he wanted 4A.

He said he can't do 4A and 4Lo in the same program and it is obvious his priority was 4A. At the same time you don't know how bad his injury is and whether it affects to do a 4Lo or not.

He tried 4Lo yesterday in practice. Please understand that his priority has been challenging 4a, because that's the only thing he has not achieved yet. When you're practicing the jumps that has never been landed, obviously it would take up a lot of time and stamina. Also, before the GP last year he was injured and sick, and he was injured and sick many times before that too. The universe's dealt him the shittiest cards. I'm sure he has considered everything and as he said, he has done everything he could today. He's laid everything on the ice. He went for the hardest, bravest way. If that's not enough for you, i don't know what to say anymore.

tbh i think at the end of the day, it doesn't matter whether he goes down as the first 3xOGM in a century or even the first 4A, since he's already cemented his standing without either of those, and we know this much as well. yuzu doesn't need anything else in his career to prove that he's the best, so now he can just accomplish what he wants for himself, and we just need to be there to support him for that!  :pudding:

I hope that ridiculous PCS (90) and the misfortune in SP won't make Yuzu think about giving up when he is this close to land 4A in competition. I hope he won't give up if his body lets him to do it.

I hope he can rest and heal now. :tumblr_inline_ncmif7esGm1rpglid:
