February 7, 20224 yr The 4A doesn't look ready for competition sadly.... I'll be happy to see a 4Lo now in practice. Pls Yuzu
February 7, 20224 yr He survived practice. That's good. Yuzu fan-cam, I didn't expect that from NBC. Lol. I didn't think he looked particularly stressed. Started to look frustrated when 4A wasn't behaving though.

February 7, 20224 yr I think it's good that he doesn't seem frantic or too stressed. His feeling collected and in control (and healthy, ofc) is the most important thing this week. This is a tough position to be in, though. I know that 4A is his overall main goal rn, but since he said the Olympics is a special place where he feels he must win, maybe he put the 3F in there to make it easier for him to switch to a potential Plan B layout to win? Since he doesn't often compete with the flip normally, it might not be as easy to substitute without training it, idk.
February 7, 20224 yr I hope he doesn't put 4A in the competition and focus on winning instead. I would love him to see competing for another season with 4A ready.

February 7, 20224 yr I am full of wonder and admiration at seeing Yuzu on the ice: it's the Olympics and he goes for that thing he truly cares about no matter what.

February 7, 20224 yr maybe this is wishful thinking, but I do feel like a couple of the attempts that were close falls were better? like, yeah, he didn't land it, but they looked higher and faster without going off axis
February 7, 20224 yr He looked nervous at the beginning but seemed more focus later. We've already known that conquering 4A would not be easy. Most of his other jumps look really good and his skating is lovely as always. I hope he stays safe, have the programs he feels proud of, and maybe have a bit of fun along the way.
