I also don't understand how the fed could be so careless. The Covid protocols for the Olympics must've been common knowledge for months and it's also been known for weeks how fast Omicron spreads and how easily transmittable it is. They're acting like they're participating in a competition in Russia. :noshake:

I suppose when government and health officials have set a culture of minimising risk and not promoting protections (I don't want to call them restrictions - that's what they have been called in the UK and it's why many here have railed against them!) it sets the culture for the whole society - I really think the Russian coaches and athletes have that same perspective.  It would seem they have never taken the risks as seriously as other countries, China will be super strict, it's that that makes me feel more positive about the liklihood that infections will be kept under control .... I hope I am not being over optimistic!

and i wonder if they will be honest with reporting cases. what if their top athletes get it and they still decide to hide it. boy i hope no other athletes get in contact with them..such horrible ethics. they need to be banned from the next olympic if thats the case. theyve been the bad fruits for too long with multiple corruption cases

Yes, that's a point of concern. But if there should really be attempts at covering up positive cases, they will be found out once they're in China. As far as I know, athletes will be tested every day by the organizers after their arrival in Beijing.

Now that the practice order is out I edited the calendar events according to Yuzu's group (Group 5) schedule. The calendar events show the time in the timezone your are in.

If you notice any mistakes please let me know and I'll edit it. Thanks :)

I just figured out how to subscribe PH's calendar and it is awesome! It's very helpful!

I found 7 hours' time lag for team event's practice sessions, grateful if they could be adjusted~ :mushroom2:

Infos about the team event. I could not find a source, but I also have read this on weibo

(maybe this was reported on "news every"?)

Guess what, we will have fan favourite Sasha Martinez, because iirc Mexico has a judge only in men.

And 50% chance of Mami Maeda. It's only getting better.

After 2 Olympic cycles I’m getting a bit fed up with the team competition- more specifically the lack of uniform requirements regarding what happens and when.  I’m assuming it’s an IOC initiative that ISU just goes along with because they have to since they haven’t introduced it at WC or GP?  So the only other one is WTT which is tailored to Japans strengths since they host it.  If there’s going to be such a thing why don’t they do it properly or stand up to IOC?  It disrupts the normal flow of competition for those involved and is pretty much an extra medal of whatever colour for the strong feds.
