Nate says: My strengths come from the elements; my strengths are not the program component scores. But that's not to say that I can't continue improving them. That's what I have been doing. http://gq.mn/yzaQPHD (if this should go in Team USA please let me know! I thought it has great interest for us as Yuzuru's fans given scoring issues over the years) Oy vey...I know that Nathan is smart and means well, but as has been pointed out here and Twitter, his edges are flat. There's been little to no improvement in his skating skills, transitions, or performance/interpretation. Even Vincent has noticeably improved (though I still don't want him to medal for other reasons...). Nathan's programs are literally him skating from one end of the rink to the other setting up jumps and barely interpreting the music, then doing his "breakdown, modern" step sequence at the end. I agree with Max that there should be no comparison or rivalry in their scores or skating. Yuzu does EVERYTHING. His transitions across his whole program are unmatched and his interpretation has ruined everyone else's skating for me. The scores don't reflect that. However, I will say that it is far more of a problem in women's skating IMO Link to comment

It hurts that it comes directly from Yuzu's mouth. This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS]. Yes, it hurts, but in my eyes Yuzu is the winner no matter what happens in Beijing. It is his determination, immense talent, unique ability to connect with music and to be so honest about who he really is, which makes him The Ultimate Champion I think he is beyond any scoring...I mean who would give scores to Beethoven's 9th or da Vinci's Mona Lisa... The japanese judge robbed him of 6 pts by invalidating his spin gosh that was horrifying --- My kind chinese satellites would you please bring awareness on the chinese platforms about the judging panel? we have a very corrupted panel here with track of bad judgings. is there any chance beijing ioc will take a look? How can a judge who is KNOWN to have made a serious mistake by not correctly recognizing one of Yuzu's elements be chosen for Beijing? Is there any chance this judge may have learned anything or may have received proper training and instructions meanwhile? Link to comment
