The POTO defense squad came o life thanks to you, SparkleSalad xD

(If I'm honest, I heard worse things than music of thaaa night, taught to me and choir I sang with back in middle school, where you're supposed to shape your taste in music, and given some of the choice made for us-I swear one song was literally different words sang on one high note for three minutes straight, and we had it in our repertoire for a  whole freaking school year- well... I'd rather bet on Yuzu's high tolerance rather than deafness xD)

That, or he wanted us to have a nice line to use as a summary of that pic over there--->:darklordyuzu:

POTO DEFENSE SQUAD, POTO IS GOOD, POTO DID NOTHING WRONG:tumblr_m9c87b7h8p1qbs47q: :tumblr_inline_mjgka4nzTU1qz4rgp::tumblr_m9gclke0QX1qzckow::tumblr_inline_mh39ugvTlP1qid2nw:

i love everything about phantom :cheer:

POTO: Meeeee toooooo :smiley-happy085: (costume, programme, Yuzu-in-costume, music, drama)

(Yuzu is not tone deaf - he is incredibly musical (according to Stephane Lambiel) and we have heard him sing a couple of times (there's a Hana wa Saku clip somewhere where he audibly sings one line..in tune!))

However, that FaOI song and singing is terrible!! Maybe he doesn't choose the music, but it's commissioned by the event organisers?

Aw, c'mon @SparkleSalad, POTO is love POTO is life. Sadly, it'd've been liked more if CoC accident never happened :tumblr_inline_n2pjd9Lx401qdlkyg:

But that accident made the song even more melancholic. And I started really loving Yuzu after  watching that performance because I was really impressed (and heartbroken too) by his resilience and determination.

Me: Before COC,  Yuzuru Hanyu is a cool guy.

Me: After COC,  omg YUZUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!

I highly suspect that's just the case, since a lot of the songs (and singers) are quite old, definitely before Yuzu's own generation, and are most likely chosen to please the general audience of Japanese ice shows which comprises of mainly middle-aged people.

Yup, his perseverance is absolutely amazing, whenever I feel like I hit the bottom in my life, his performance pops up in my head and I think "Well, he had it worse and fought through it, I can put up a fight too". I always cry when I hear this song

Late to the party but Yuzuru is a wonderful Phantom because if you know the story of the book/musical, the Phantom is a musical and literature genius too ahead of his time, mysterious and kinda lonely. Although, Yuzu has no problems with his aesthetic, LOL! :winky:

And usually doesn't have to be lonely, unless he wants to nail another MonHun score xD

I have just opened this thread and everybody is talking about POTO. I have almost had heart attack.

But actually POTO is one of my favourite programs, I always felt emotional connection between Yuzu and the music, something I missed in NDP and RJ2.

Probably this is why I like Sochi version more then GPF and Worlds ones, despite failed jumps.

Good Lord - I don't look for a couple of days and there's another Phantom panic?  Is anyone doing a graph of the Phantom/ Seimei fits that set in from time to time?  I said it pages ago and I say it again- have a little faith.  Whatever he picks will be good - and it's his career not ours!

Still don't think he'll go back to PotO- too many bad memories.
